Bond in Madagascar

in Casino Royale - Bond 21 (2006)
a few Q's, what was Bond doing in Madagascar? why did the black guy running from him go to the embassy? how was this part done in the book if at all? and finally, what happened to the guy who was with Bond?

    He was there tracking Mollaka - ordered to capture him and bring him in. He ran into the embassy I assume for asylum. None of this was in the novel, it was added to bring the story up to date. We don't know what happened to the guy working with 007. We last saw him falling and accidentally discharging his weapon. He was obviously a rookie and couldn't keep up with our boy!

    Only kidding, as has been pointed out, when u are in an embassy, u r on protected soil, as if you were in the country of the representing Embassy itself.
