Hi, I`m compiling a James Bond quiz for a party we`re holding at the weekend to celebrate the release of the new Bond film here in Japan. Has anyone got any idea what the most expensive Bond stunt ever was? And also, is Casino Royale now the most expensive Bond film or is that still Tomorrow Never Dies?
I appreciate your help!

Most expensive stunt? I don't know, but a few guesses come to mind, such as the tank chase in GE, the DBS flip in CR, the corkscrew jump in TMWTGG, the hovercrafts in DAD. The CGI stuff in DAD was pretty pricey (though the end result was mostly garbage). Tough to account for the cost of a particular stunt, since there are so many different facets of it. Quite frankly, I think they just roll up the stunt cost into the overall budget.
As for most expensive movie, it's Die Another Day by far at $142 million, with The World Is Not Enough close behind with $135 million.

The budget for Casino Royal was pretty close too ($130 million), but I've heard that they rolled up the promotional costs into the final budget.
I don't have a list adjusted for inflation, but I remember Moonraker was very expensive at the time. $34 million was big money in 1979, and just $10 million shy of the budget for "Heaven's Gate", the film that almost killed UA, and indirectly led to the Bond franchise being released by MGM in future years.
Of course, Moonraker made a ton of money.
