I'm pretty sure the date is actually May 27th of next year released on all DVD formats. I'm sure it will continue the ultimate edition format of being two-disc's as well.

I'm not sure where you reside, but May 27th 2007 is a Sunday. March 27th is a Tuesday. In the US Tuesday is the typical day for new DVD and Music CD releases. Maybe it's earlier in May though. I'm sure a final date will be annouced by the first of the year.
Some people would complain even if you hang them with a new rope

i think its more probably march as dvds are coming out alo sooner than they used to, i mean disney pizarrs "cars" was out in cinemas around august and its already on dvd
Does anyone know if it will have matching covers to all of the new DVDs that came out last year? If they were released so recently they probably would, right?

They will probably release the film as a standalone at first I imagine and then release one with a co-ordinating cover or perhaps do them at the same time.
I so want a documentary on "Finding Bond" aswell as one on the filming and possbly one on adapting the book. I also want any deleted scenes, with the ability to put them into the movie. and I want it NOW!
Oh and By The Way, in reguards to the cover, they'll most likely do what they did with the Vido release of Tomorrow Never Dies and have a double sided cover, one side depicting the stand alone version, the other the one that fits into the Bond Collection

They should do a double sided sleeve like they did with the original DAD release. It was a good idea in my opinion.
I'm really looking forward to the DVD release of CR. I will def pre-order it so that i get it as soon as is humanly possible!! And I echo what Pred said - don't touch the hot stuff!! Wait until the real thing comes out, it will be worth the wait.
Re: the DVD..I hope they reinsert the scenes between Vesper and Bond if they were shot as per the script.
As much as I enjoyed the film ( and I did immensely), I was surprised to find that the relationship between the two was even better developed in the script than what finally made it into the theatres.
If those scenes were actually shot, then please, please, pretty pleeeeeease spend the extra money to colour correct them and edit them back in and allow us the benefit of enjoying the film as scripted via seamless branching.

They took all those shots of JB & Vesper in the water so hopefully that will be on it. I'd like the 'Becoming Bond' to be on there too, as it showed DC as quite relaxed. Presumably they'll have all the trailers on there and the soundtrack too. Were'n they supposed to have made cuts in the torture scene too, nice to see those please!!
I hope they include the Barry Nelson version of CR on the DVD as a bonus feature. I know they did this on the R1 release of the 1967 CR, but not on the R2 version. Here is their chance to correct that oversight.

That is not an attitude that this site endorses whatsoever.
Please do not support the piracy industry - especially on a Bond DVD. You are a fan - buy the official gear and don't pay the pirates.
