I honestly couldn't care less about the featurettes, trailers, or Cornell video; just give me director's commentary and DELETED SCENES, you stingy *******s.

For UK customers Amazon is cheaper even including postage than both HMV and Play which is unusual for them. Will wait to order mine till closer to the time I think, had one on pre order with Play but for £14.99 it'll probably be cheaper in the supermarkets and I can get it there and then
I am not really too concerned about which is cheaper, as it probably won't be a difference of more than one or two quid. I just want the option which will mean I get the DVD the quickest. Anybody know which this will be? As far as I can tell, Amazon UK are advertising the earliest release date I have seen.
I have just sold all my special edtions on ebay and bought the ultimate editions instead (certainly worth it for the older films,
Can anyone tell me if there will be a Ultimate edition of CR?
Is a frog's a** watertight? I'd say it's a safe bet they'll find several new ways to package all the films, never mind the "ultimate" tag. Look at George Lucas insisting they couldn't put the original versions of the first three Star Wars films on the DVD collection because those films no longer exist. They're on sale right now. DVDs are such a racket. And I fall for it every time. I'm still waiting for the 4-disk Blade Runner they've talked about forever. I already have the early version and the remastered version.

I know what you mean. They released a remastered disk of BR lasy year in the UK and I foolishly thought it was the long-talked about special edition. I think there are legal wrangles over who owns the film or certain material associated with it. I wish they'd hurry up and sort it out though.

I usualy use dvd.co.uk because if you pre-order something that is released on a monday you often get it on the friday before. That way I get all weekend to gloat )

It see that the R2 cover art has been released and the features list confirmed (it no longer says details TBC). I am rather disappointed that I see no audio commentary!! What is the matter with them?? CR will be the only Bond DVD without a single commentary. That's shocking! Hopefully there will be one and it will be added to the features list. I'm holding thumbs!
The region 3 (South Asia) Casino Royale DVD is currently scheduled for release a month earlier than region's 1 & 2. On Thursday 15th February, to be exact. The price is £9.99.
Is there any differences between the region 3,2 and 1 dvd's e.g the extras or artwork cover etc. As I am tempted to get the region 3 version as it is out sooner.
First of all: subtitles for the hearing impaired also subtitles sounds, not just dialogue.
-Mr. White?
-Yes?
BANG!
-We need to talk.
I also think the extras should include Daniel Craig's screentest. It's probably the most inportant and talked about screentest in this millenium, so it would be a horrible oversight not to include it. It would be very nice to see other screenteststs too, perhaps Henry Cavill, Som Worthington and others who were seriously considered.
Although the DVD is more important than the video. Do you reckon CR will be released on VHS? and if so, when? coz i wana continue my VHS collection as well!!

The last time I went to see CR at the cinema I went to a subtitled showing - no idea that it was but by the time we had our Ben and Jerrys I was just happy that that was all it had taken to convince the beloved to go and see it again
I think we were quite fortunate though as it was my 4th and the beloved's 3rd viewing but anyone who was not hearing impaired and went to the showing anyway had a lot of the timing spoilt by the subtitling - can't be helped I know - not trying to be un-pc or anything btw.
The point I wanted to make (admittedly in a long winded way now lol) was that they also subtitle DC's 'grunts' which I found amusing to no end. Here we are in the middle of a fight scene, many feet up in the sky, DC is fighting to get a grip and swing his leg up onto the crane and the "Grunts" appears on the screen - cue me s******ing like a juvenile - sad but true!!! Give me "Bang" anyday - npi btw :)

Hmm, yeah, I do wish they left the cover art same as the posters. As someone who has done quite a bit in the field of banner/poster design, I find the empty grey fields quite tasteless )
Edit - However, I won't worry because that's probably just the outer cardboard case design and the inner cover design will be different. It's just like the Die Another Day DVD, the cardboard casing outer cover was simple with just a picture of Bond, Jinx above a blue background, but the inner cover was pretty cool if I remember correctly.

Don't think they make VHS players anymore let alone put new films on VHS. Considering you can pick up a DVD player for £9 now. The format is definitely dead.

Yeah, I'm hoping the screen test is in also. I want to see and hear about what Broccoli and Wilson was smoking when they looked at Craig.
I see nothing in the feature lineup indicating that there's a commentary track. What? Is this going to be the first Bond film to not have a commentary?
Sometimes I can't get over these "special edition" packages for DVDs. Sheesh, why don't they just toss a CR disc in an Aston Martin and sell that as a special edition?

Not a bad looking cover.
I really hope that for a 2 disc set this is not the sum total of the extras on it 8-)

I clicked the link and did some reading but now I have a question.
In the "extras" section it lists Subtitles -English and Subtitles-Hard of Hearing? How do subtitles differ for people with hearing problems?
Maybe it's a special feature that screams out the dialogue instead of letting it play at normal volume.

I think it's pretty bad, and way too spartan. Half of it is plain grey. The posters were much better.

Think I will just buy it when it's released in the shops. It's hardly going to sell out.
