Everyday gadgets which were once only available from Q

With Christmas just around the corner I though I’d have a bit of fun by trying to list the gadgets that we can now buy in the shops but which a few years ago would only have been available from ‘Q Branch’. The most obvious ones that spring to mind are:

Satellite navigation for your car.
Memory sticks\pen drives.
Mobile phones that fit in the palm of your hand and can take photos and play music.
Underwater cameras.

There most be loads more. Over to you.

Cheers,

Mark

Clearly somethings that Bond brought to fore are now common place but I'm always surprised at the ones that never really went anywhere like the Wet Bike in SWLM or the MP (Conseula's replicar in MR).

Moderately off-topic, but there's a recent documentary How William Shatner Saved the World which, despite, the title, showcases all the technology which appeared throughout the various Star Trek programs but is already a part of everyday life, along with some (like the "holodeck") in active development.

Amazing technology that you saw first on Star Trek? Those automatic doors that you now get in all supermarkets and offices and things. That's about it but we've got those! what's next? Space travel!
Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice and everyone dies.
