The Return of the Bonds

Who do you think, of the previous five ex-Bonds, would be most likley to make a cameo return in a minor role for a future Bond movie? lso, who would you like to see, and in what capacity?
There's always been talk of Connery returning and for a while it looked like he might either face off as a main villain against Brosnan, or direct Casino Royale. He's alwasy had an antipathy towards the Brocollis but with the passing of tien I don't know how much that will have diminished.
It seems to me that George Lazenby doesn't have much to do with Bond any more, besides if you placed him in a cameo, would the majority of the viewing public know who he is? I doubt it.
Having been acrimoniously fired from the 007 role, i find it hard to see Brosnan back any time soon, particularly as the producers will want to keep the emphasis on Craig, not distract people from him with his predecessor.
I think it's more likely that Timothy Dalton might make an appearance; he left Bond on good terms and really could have benefitted in terms of his reputation y doign a third Bond movie. If he was cast as the main villain opposite raig, that would bea great premise for a movie, harking back To the Moore/Lee class in TMWTGG.
All of which brings me to Sir Roger; I saw him playing a double agent type in an episode of Alias, where he smooth-talked and decietfully outflanked a rival. Reminds me a lot of a darker, more manipulative, Mr White from CR. He would be great in a small role, perhaps a "villain" causing problems by acting as a rival to and undermining the main bad guy. Of course, he would have to escape alive at the end...

It seems too much like a cute inside joke...and the series has enough of those, thank you.
I would settle for a simple photo all the 007s together for the first time. (Can anyone get that accomplished?)
Don't mean to be a spoilsport, crawfordboon, but seeing Roger or Pierce in a bit part, although it would be fun, strikes me as taking a step backward in the reality department.
Sure the fans would love it...but is it really that necessary?
Thanks.
"World domination...same old dream."
I truthfully don't see the value in a Bond actor making a cameo appearance though. It might play for laughs, but it would be too confusing for the audience IMO.
To me, the most likely choice is easy:
-- Connery is way too big of a star and too iconic a personality to ever appear in a Bond film without completely overwhelming it.
-- Lazenby would only be plausible in a camp-style role, which again would be too distracting.
-- Moore has simply aged too much, and his acting style would be most suited to laughs. Again, would probably come off as silly.
-- Brosnan is too recent and too "pretty", if that makes sense.
That leaves Dalton. Behind his serious actor persona, I suspect there lurks a man of fine humor. I would love seeing him in a truly minor role that has little plot impact but interacts with Bond and is on screen enough to be noticeable (security guard, store clerk, waiter, hotel front desk clerk, etc.). It would be great seeing him play it totally straight while knowing that the audience is getting a real kick out of it. No villain roles -- those are too much opposed to Bond and are rarely small enough to be cameos.
OK, back to reality...
Failing that, how about Connery as M?
Unfortunatly Sir Connery wishes to not have anything to do with Bond anymore, which is very upsetting. I would love the idea as Connery as M >>>>BUT<<<< like someone said earlier he would be just to overwhelming as an actor to pull the "cameo" off the way it should be. All but barely noticable.
I would agree that its best for the series not to do "cameos" but I can't say I'd be unhappy if they chose to do just one or two.
