Not an easy choice, but after some thought voted for Dalton. :007)

After a long time thinking about this I voted for... (drumroll please!) ..........Brosnan.

To me he brings it all to the table: the wry wit and suave manner of Connery and Moore, the emotion (even though I hate it, I admire what he does to portray it) of Lazenby, and the ruthless, killer instincs of Dalton.

(The only reson I hadn't mentioned Craig is because I haven't seen him yet. :p )

This poll is irrevelant. There is no such thing as a "Best Bond Ever". It's ridiculous to even believe such a thing exists.

This poll should be renamed - "Who is your favorite Bond?".

Are you kidding me? Fish, is there no parade you can't rain on? Obviously, it's an opinion poll. Changing its name to meet your semantic preferences -- that is what's irrelevant. Please lighten up and try to consider the context in which people are saying things, I beg you.

BTW, I'm not voting in this poll, because I don't have a "favorite Bond". I have a "favorite Bond movie" -- same one as yours, I believe. :)

    I voted for the legendary Sean Connery. I love Moore and Brosnan, and I may adore another Bond in the future, but to me, no actor can express the combination of masculine suaveness and deadly ruthlessness quite like Sir Sean. He wasn't the first Bond that I ever saw but he will always be the actor that I most associate with the character James Bond. -{

My vote goes to Connery as well. He is James Bond. Pierce is winning interestingly though.

This poll isn't really accurate because you can vote more than once simply by closing the window and clicking on the link again and re-opening the window ... worked for me. I voted for Connery, by the way ... twice, in fact! I think Sir Sean is the best Bond by a country mile.

Fish, why can't you accept that the poll is asking who is the best Bond according to each person's opinion. If you think that it should be favourite Bond, then perhaps the Pulitzer should go to favourite novel, the Best Picture Oscar should go to favourite film and so should every other award which are all just as subjective as this poll.

:# Even George Lazenby has got more votes.

Is Roger really that unpopular? Well, at least he can rely on one vote, mine. :007)

Well...at least fans of Brozzer should take heart that he's handily beating Craigger thus far :v

Not much of a surprise, however, that Connery's running away with it...

Absolutely. I need to get it just right for when Scorsese wins the Oscar. :D

I love both Connery and Dalton and seeing as Connery usually wins these things by a landslide I thought I would vote for Dalton. It obviously wasn't a wasted vote as he is currently lying third!

Think I will refresh the screen and try and make him second :))

Poor Roger, even trailing George. I still think he was the right Bond for the times, although he stayed on much too long. Pierce still in second.

    Best Bond: Sean

    My favourite: Roger.

And on that basis, because he's criminally trailing behind, I've made sure he's got my vote!

This poll was a no-brainer for me. I voted Connery without hesitation...

I voted Moore, and I really can't understand why he's so far behind. What they write about him I don't like. They call Octopussy pathetically fun. Moore gave one of the best performances of any Bond in that film, especially in the German scenes. His performances in OP, TSWLM, and FYEO make him my favourite Bond. I used to think I preferred Connery, but I know my favourite has to be Moore because he is the first that I picture when I think of Bond. For me there's nothing to think about.

Moore not be my favorite Bond, but I heartily agree with you about his performance in OCTOPUSSY . . . especially his scene with Steven Berkoff.

Moore,in OP, gave a great balance of comedy and seriousness. I remember going to see this flick 3-4 times in theatres.

Okay, the car on the train tracks bit was a little madcap but overall this was an excellent Bond film.
