We got the first two episode's in the UK. Some things I liked.

Claire and Sylar's odd (and gross) interaction at her house. It looks like these characters are froming a connection and are going to have a lot to do with this.

Nikki's ice-queen. Hey there's William Katt! Oh, not anymore. It looks like she has a different power for each personality.

Peter getting turned into the Latino biker from Veronica Mars. Keep him that way guys.

And the producers have certainly upped the pace. This moved like an episode of 24.

What did you think of Mohinder thus far, J.D.?

And am I the only one who thinks that Parkman's pretty stupid? Not just this season but since the show started... :#

I'm fairly ambivalent about him. He is not a character I really care about, but I don't mind him. It was a decent start to the new series I thought. Hopefully they can keep it up.

Cracking episode. Lots of questions. It looks like Nikki really is dead, but how many more like her are there? And will Nikki's personality now turn up in the new girl, as her dead sister did? And does Mrs Petrelli run an adoption agency? :))

Cool casting too. The producers seem to cherrypick from former actors on the best shows around. There's Marlow from The Wire, Weevil from Veronica Mars, and that Anglo-Polish woman who used to be in Spooks. I'm really enjoying season 3.

The anglo-english Woman who was in spooks played Fiona Carter, wife of Adam. The actress herself Olga is the real life wife of the Actor who Plays Mohinder (Sendhil R).

I knew that there was a reason why I wasn't enjoyng this season's shows. Too jumbled, confusing and stupid plots. The Long Halloween writer Jeph Loeb gets canned from the series.

Big Shakeup Behind the Heroes Scenes
    Source:Variety November 2, 2008

Variety says there was a big shakeup behind the scenes of NBC's "Heroes" on Sunday as writers/co-executive producers Jesse Alexander and Jeph Loeb were fired.

The duo had been with the show since its first season and were known to have led the day-to-day production operation under the direction of creator/executive producer Tim Kring.

"Heroes," produced by Universal Media Studios, has struggled in the ratings its third season. It's understood that Alexander and Loeb were let go because of NBC executives' frustration with the creative direction of the show.

The trade added that the show is also said to have been dealing with hefty budget overruns this season that are going well beyond its already sizable $4 million per-episode pricetag.

I was seriously considering to drop this show from my Monday lineup altogether but I'll see where it's headed with the change.

That's us up to speed in the UK. You guys are on a break I think. I agree Rogue. The last few episodes have been really poor. :# And it looks like the future can only be saved by using a plot device known as a reset button, in which everything is returned to a certain point, a device that has been tiresomely used in the new series of Dr Who and I'm fed up seeing it anywhere else. I'm sorry Adam got killed, but that was necessary to get Robert Forster in on the action. But a lot of the fun has gone out of this show. I'll stick with it. I've already stopped watching a couple of new shows this season, Fringe, and Breaking Bad, both of which fell away from their initial promise very quickly..

Ahhh something in common we have... I LOVE Heroes. Actually.. PETER PETRELLI AS BOND!!! :)) :)) THAT is my other choice... Milo as Bond :D :D (yes yes, throw the tomatoes, I don't care).

I think it's a great show though this season is a bit difficult at times, but I LOVE the guessing game, so I really enjoy each episode a lot. Guess it's just me? :)) Or it's my brother Petrelli love that keeps me going.. :)) :))

And since we all like secret agents here, may I suggest a REALLY good show? Burn Notice. It's great. I think you guys would love it.
"Are we on coms?" (if you don't know where this is from... you've missed some really good stuff! :D)

{[] Fabulous show. What I love about it is that it's about a guy who wants to be a secret agent. He's not tortured at all, which is great to see in the emo era.

Ahh seee!!! We DO have things in common that we like after all!!! :D :D I love Burn Notice. Well, it's more about a guy who was a secret agent AND got screwed? :)) But anyway yes it's true, not tortured. And I love the fact the tone is light and humorous, yet he kicks ass dangerously. Also.. pretty surely you boys like Gabrielle Anwar?? :D :D And the mother cracks me up.. just HILARIOUS. She's like M :)) :)) well, worse, since she's the mother. Anyway, great show, I think many on here would like it.{[]

Ok I don't watch Heroes, but I too love Burn Notice, Ale and John! :) It is a great show, I love the narrating on what happens once you've been "burned". Love Bruce Campbell, and you are right, Ale, Gabrielle is fabulous too.

Well here's me complaining, and they go and pull off an episode like that! Great stuff. Good to see Eric Roberts back, if only for that episode. Presumably anyway, unless they do more flashbacks. Christopher Eccleston's character was referenced in this episode. It's a shame he doesn't seem to be coming back in person. Although he is the Invisible Man so they could always pretend he's there.

Agree!! Excellent episode. I LOVE Heroes. Just love. And speaking of TV, does anyone here RAVE about Mad Men like I do?? And I also happen to think a certain guy just IS BOND.... God, Jon Hamm would be PERFECT as James Bond. What a fantastic actor.. and he has it all to be James Bond. Charisma, style, looks... and the badass side. He is awesome!! And I DO NOT CARE if he's not British!!! :x

{[] Mad Men is great. I'm surprised you like Hamm though, he's a bit more masculine than your usual type. :v

I'm currently watching the new episode of Heroes, Please tell me Hiro does not remain a 10-year-old.

:v you don't want to get me started on the fact I had a penchant for rugby players as boyfriends, right?? Doesn't get much more masculine than that :)) :)) I WUUUUUUV Jon Hamm. He is the next Clooney to me. George... swoon. But Jon Hamm is the future. God, I'd LOVE to see him as Bond. He's so damn sexy yet cool and confident at the same time and ridiculously handsome. The perfect combination. I don't care that he is American :v

Mad Men is possibly one of the BEST TV series I ever saw. It's brilliant. I am very pleased you like it too!! {[] Definitely ranks in my all time favourites with Friday Night Lights, The West Wing, Miami Vice and well, Friends! :D Oh and a side of Entourage. :D

Do you really want me to tell you what happens?? because I will, I am a spoiler *****! :)) :)) Like you have no idea. LOL. And you must've finished watching meantime :)) But I know what happens next.... :D

Thankfully it looks like Ando is going to sort things out, but I do wonder how exactly the writers of this show will get themselves out of a situation where Robert Forster looks like he can do anything. By the way has anybody ever seen Alligator? Great movie.
  • AlessandraAlessandra Lake Garda, ItalyPosts: 633MI6 Agent
Hmm I have never seen Alligator, will check it out! :D

About the Heroes writers, I think that's one of the aspects of the show that I enjoy the most.. I love trying to figure out where they are going and guessing and seeing how they actually change situation. This one's pretty complicated, I agree with you...wonder if Sylar will have anything to do with it :v

First two episodes of season 4 just aired in the UK. Vast improvement on season 3. Especially the bloke playing the carny owner who was brilliant.

That's that then. Heroes has been cancelled, so there will be no proper finale to the show.

So it's in elite company (Star Trek), inasmuch as it's a cult hit screwed by the network...NBC seems intent upon committing seppuku, or hari kari ?:)

Sorry, Loeff. After the first season the writing for that show nose-dove significantly. 14 million viewers weekly shrinks to just over 4 over its timespan. It was just an unbearable, muddled mess to watch even for a collossal comic nerd as myself and me and son just couldn't take it anymore. It's hard to believe that The Long Halloween's Jeff Loeb was partly to blame for the show's decline with his suspect scripts. No wonder they fired him.
By mid 3rd season we just stopped watching it; it just couldn't sustain that allure that made it so enjoyable... I'm glad it's gone.

To place it in the elite company of the 60s Star Trek is quite a stretch but I could see it becoming cult so who knows?.
