We are after all fighting the same evil... the evil of Thunderball!
I can't believe I just read that-- you ought to be ashamed of yourself. Suffice to say, neither Domino nor Sean Connery's toupee deserve to go down without a fight (especially with the likes of Dalton and Moore still lurking about)...and nor will they. {:)

I'll second that(though I am a big fan of Dalton and TLD). Long live TB, the biggest Bond of all!! as its ads truthfully proclaimed.

While I agree that TSWLM should outlive TLD I don't consider it a tear-inducing injustice like in the case of the other two films.
Well, for me, of the films that have already been eliminated, the one that devastates me the most is DN, while of the films that could realistically be eliminated in the near future, TB and TSWLM would devastate me much more than either TLD (my second least-favourite Bond film) and CR (which IMO shouldn't have made the top 10.)

I'm sad that Goldeneye is gone. A lot of the movies that I don't like, which are numerous now (TB, TLD, CR) need to be eliminated and FAST.
Well you'll have no support from me wrt CR and TB, however I'm all for TLD being ousted. That aside, seems to me that we'd be lucky to eliminate anything at this point.

Just curious, JennyFlexFan. Have you read the Ian Fleming novels TB and CR and Ian Fleming short story TLD or any Ian Fleming original material by chance?

I've read Moonraker and I was going to start FRWL but I had required reading to do for school. I'll try to read them, but I just do not particularly care for the films. Perhaps the books will be different.

TB, CR and TLD are amazingly faithful adaptations(by EON standards at least) of the Fleming sources. Part of the reason they're in my top 007 picks for the series. I highly recommend reading them. They might change your opinion of the films.
Got some bad news for you JFF. In the Ian Fleming short story-"From A View to A Kill"(the basis for one of your faves), Jenny Flex is nowhere to be found. In fact, aside from the Paris location, nothing in the story resembles the film. However, there is a lovely lady named Mary Ann Russell who wears black jeans. In my dream "alternate universe" Bond movie world, Mary Ann would have been the main Bond girl in the film version played by your girl Alison Doody, opposite Dalton's Bond of course.

Ahh the old "dream alternate Bond movie universe". As you probably know mine would have featured George Lazenby (and Telly Savalas for that matter) in a Peter Hunt directed DAF where they followed the original plan and had Tracy killed in the PTS, and taken the movie from there. Also in this universe Lazenby would have gone on to star in at least LALD and TMWTGG, which would have perhaps featured a still-alive Bruce Lee as a henchman/bad guy.
I agree that Octopussy should have been Moore's final film, and AVTAK Dalton's first. Perhaps that would have paved the way for a TLD more completely in line with Dalton's Bond.

I've heard of FAVTAK, and know that Jenny is nowhere to be found, I know the basics of the story, and the "alternate reality" people constantly say that Alison should've been that role. I wholeheartedly agree. Still, anyone but Dalton. He just isn't my cup of tea.

In my alternative universe, there would be the following changes: Connery would have done OHMSS, Moore would have done TMWTGG later on in his career and would have stepped down after OP, Sam Neil would have done AVTAK-LTK, Brosnan would have done a fifth film in 2004 and CR in 2006 (although if Brosnan was unable to do CR, I would have settled for Clive Owen.)

) Well, join the club, as Lazenby doing the Moore films would be my personal hell. But you know Lazenby, we might disagree on the merits of Lazenby/Moore/Brosnan/Craig, but both of us do want TB to survive, so there are some things that we agree on.
