This game started on March 8. Now it's March 29. So far, I've only voted twice, once yesterday, once today. That means I have missed making 20 votes. Can I vote add/subtract those 20 votes retrospectively, in one big lump?

    Pretty, please?

That depends...how would you cast those votes?

    (j/k)

I'm sure you were also kidding, so I won't say any more.

Finally progress. But I think the gap between eliminations is only going to increase. :o

My instinct is that TLD will fall next, which is too bad for me since it's my favorite movie, but oh well, right?

In any case it's tough because I don't really want to vote against any of the remaining choices (voting against TSWLM was a pleasure, eliminating it was ecstacy). I guess I'll have to start tapping away at Goldfinger tomorrow, which is a pity, but I feel it's the weakest of the remaining films.

For some reason, though it shouldn't have, I found that your icon suited this comment perfectly.

While I don't agree with this, I'm happy enough you're a fan of CR which, to my great astonishment, a lot of people around here don't seem to be.

I think those will be wasted votes at this stage of the game.

I like Roger Moore, if this is what you're getting at, I like all the actors who played Bond believe it or not. I just don't like that movie.

I'm not so sure-- there seem to be quite a few people around here who don't hold GF on the heavenly pedestal it traditionally gets placed on. A few negative votes might be enough to keep it from coming in first, which quite often happens.

I know (I've glanced at your favorites list)-- it's just that the expression on Roger's face seems to betray the slight hint of the sort of old curmudgeon who would have no patience for a disco laden Bond movie like TSWLM.

Now see, that's part of TSWLM's charm, all that super 70s crap. Even the disco.

The entire 70s decade is now off the board, following on the heels of the 90s. One left in the 80s...which is hard to believe IMHO. And, 60s rule.

As a staunch guardian of the Dalton legacy I can't hide my satisfaction at the fact that TLD has made it to the top 6 and that its hero has outlived Bros and Sir Roger.
This is to the credit of the honorouable community we call AJB007 (well... at least part of it).

No no, just making random comments.

I'd be surprised if at the end, FRWL wasn't the winning film (I'll also be surprised if we ever get to the end, lol).

Sigh. I've woken up to find TSWLM has been eliminated in my absence. Have you people no soul? Don't you ever want to be entertained? Poor Sir Rog.

I am now in rather a difficult position. Those left are among my very favourites of the Bond pictures. On the basis of those left, the cherished Goldfinger is actually my least favourite, as I do prefer Thunderball as a film. I feel I should apologise for voting against this one. {:)

    As well you should!

Ask yourselves: what film could the series do without most? That's the one that goes. Bond without GF is like, listening to the Beatles without earmuffs, lol.

    Shocking, positively shocking. :007)

In no way are you going to touch GF. X-( ;)

Disco laden or not, I think it's an absolute masterpiece and I am shocked, absolutely shocked, that it has been eliminated. First there was DN, IMO the fourth greatest Bond film of all time, and now TSWLM, IMO the fifth greatest Bond film of all time and the greatest ever non-Connery Bond film of all time, has been eliminated. :'( Plus to make matters worse, three films which I consider to be inferior to TSWLM (*OHMSS, TLD and CR) are still in. :s

This game is really not going the way I want it to. But, quite perversely, I can't take myself away from it. :o :D Anyway, TLD and CR, I am coming after you, and GF, I'm going to do everything in my power to help you win! :D

*I absolutely adore OHMSS, but I consider TSWLM to be a superior film.

I hate casting a negative vote against TLD, but rules are rules. Damn, there's never a Roger Moore cartoon around when you need one.

I mean I hate to have to cast a negative vote. I would prefer to cast only my positive vote at this point, as I really do not dislike any of the remaining movies. As I said rules are rules, and I have to cast the negative vote. Got it?

    1) FRWL (24)
    2) GF (21)
    3) TB (14)-1 (13)
    4) OHMSS (22)
    5) TLD (14)
    6) CR (15) +1 (14)

Difficult to choose, but TB is the weakest here and CR must be one of the last ones to go!
