Hmm, I can certainly say that wasn't me that you saw spinning his tires at the green light. To tell you the truth, I love this car for what it is, but it certainly is no rice burner! I'd have to say that whoever you saw with that car probably won't have it for much longer... That engine almost certainly has enough miles to have driven around the world a dozen times. And if I'm not mistaken, such driving will kill a high-mileage engine. In fact, I've even seen quite a few newer cars that have been run through the mill and back again, presumably with that sort of driving, who have earned little more than a smoky tailpipe and a failed emissions inspection.
I have this little phrase that I say when referring to how one's car should be taken care of: "Treat your car as though she were your lover." Take care of your lover and she'll take care of you. A car is the same way. Take that bit of philosophy for what you will.
