I have bought one (£11) just incase its not in this collection! I dont really care if i have two
The lack of a box worries me about this being one of the official series although it's a longer car so it might be being sent like Little Nellie and the Goldeneye Tank??
Also even if it's not it'll look great alongside the DB5 and the white Mustang - fingers crossed it's one of the series though!

Often future cars appear on ebay with out the box months before they are released over here. As for the size, on the listing it says 'The model long is 13.2cm' so it should easily fit into the box.

At 13.2cm long it is exactly the same length as the Del Prado Ultimate Car Collection Bugatti Royale (issue 16). The display plinths that collection came on are exactly the same length as the James Bond Car Collection ones, so it will fit on the standard size diorama quite comfortably. That said, there won't be a lot of room left over for a very detailed or interesting diorama base.
I think a few of his models come from the Del Prado collection in fact. This one in particular is definitely from that collection and not Franklin Mint as suggested.

Is that not the Corgi Director's Cut version? I have this model and the give-away is the thickness of the side window "glass"

well i guess only time will tell. there are some differences between those pictures, notably the shininess of the front grill, and the detail on the front windshield.
if it does turn out to be the directors cut version then i will still be happy with my purchase because i own the corgi 'Ultimate Bond Collection' the detail in those are far less that that of the directors set. ether way, i'm going to make a box for it.
As there are no figures in this one, with scene should i show?

Another indicator that I forgot earlier is the incorrect use of whitewall tires on the "Director's Cut" version, which was actually based on how the real car looks today. Though some have noted the occasional errors in the Fabbri cars, they have been more or less visually screen accurate and the GF Rolls would have likewise been made w/out whitewalls. You can easily swap out the regular tires from the earlier Corgi issue.

Which of the cars have errors on them in the Fabbri collection??

Others noted a few errors on this very thread, which include the incorrect deployment sequence of the TLD Aston's weaponry, the front bumper license plate mounts on the GE BMW, and I'm not sure if in this thread, but the bumpers on the TND BMW are starkly incorrect as compared with linked video captures of the Hamburg car park sequence.

I studied the pics carefully, & I think its the Corgi 1:40 scale version as it is identical to my Corgi version. I cannot see them introduction a batch of Rolls Royces this far into the collection, but I suppose we can hope. I have asked them to give me a list of the offical cars coming in future issues, so we'll have to see if I get an answer.
Unless some one out there knows different?
I remember the talk about the incorrect models on this thread now - like the series of models the thread has been going on for so long now it's sometimes hard to loose track... or is that just my age...????
Now on the 2 Rolls Royce pictures the numberplate housing looks different on the two models so it could be a different model?? Either that of the photo of the model with the Oddjob figure might just be a prototype??
Due to a problem with my direct-debit I had a box arrive on Friday with 10 models in it.
Just so I can check that I'm up to date now could someone please tell me what the latest model/issue to have been delivered is and also does anyone have an up to date listing of all of the models at the minute?

I don't DD..but I picked up issue 52 at my local shop, & it was the Ford GT40.:007)
The Rolls Royce that i bought on eBay arrived today. Beautiful but unfortunately it was not 1/43 as listed
it is in-fact the corgi director's set, as I and others had suspected. ;%
Even though this is the wrong scale i still plan to display it with the Magazine collection.
I am still undecided as to which background i should make for it...
I will you the base from the Daimler limousine as i have 2 of them and no longer plan make one into the TND version.
So which shall i do?

Have a look at this guys:
Goldenfinger is funny, but this guy offers the full range of James Bond car collection models and comes now up with the GF Rolls.
I'd say, there is hope

I would be very interested to see what others have done to create a display diorama of sorts for Little Nellie the gyrocopter and the T55 tank. I think the time has come for me to do something so they can be displayed properly with the rest of the collection but I need some inspiration and advice. What do people generally think is the best base on which to make a diorama for it and how do you go about making a scene backdrop? Do you capture a frame from the movie and print it out or is there a lot more Photoshopping involved?
If anyone has already produced backdrops for their own custom dioramas, is there any chance you could share them to save me some work?

Ah! Yes , that great James Bond classic " The Lining Daylights"???? ...I remember it well:s:007)
hi everyone. I'm a new member here and I allready have a question:
Does anyone knows witch font is used for the names? some people have said that is was either MS sans serif or franklin gothic medium, turs out to be neither of them, so now i'm looking for the right font. I need it for my "upgraded"DBS - Casino Royale and for my (hopefully) soon to be finished AEC Regent.
Thanks

Thats a tatty looking Corgi Roller me thinks! The chromes coming of the bumpers & the grills pitted. Plus the Rolls in his "BOND" listing is the same one or another Corgi. Im not convinced there are going to be any Rolls Royces in this collection. The copyright is too expensive I think. But we can hope.

The only decent one I think is the Ferrari & Lambo stood up in the mud! I might have a go at that also. But I think I'll need a tall box!

I have that model too but i don't take mine out of the box so i cant really see the whole car.
