It's hard to tell from that photo, but it doesn't look like Two-Face has the dual style suit, shirt and tie (conservative on one half, flamboyant on the other). More of Nolan's penchant for conservative realism creeping in I suppose. Disappointing but hardly surprising if in fact that's the case.

Not too disappointing for me. I don't need another Tommy Lee Jones.

Say what you want about Batman Forver, but at least they tried to emulate the look of the characters from the comics on that one, which is more than can be said for Nolan and company.
The whole idea behind Two-Face is that he is a split personality; two people, both visible at the same time, constantly at odds with one another. In my opinion, his look should reflect that.
I'm sure his look will work within the context of the film, but, like the Joker, Raas, Scarecrow, Arham Asylum and all the rest of it, it all strays a bit too much from the source material for my tastes.
Too bad the photos that have been released are so blurry. Anyway, it looks as though the left half of the suit is darker and more ratty than the right. . .which is actually more in keeping with the comic book character than was Tommy Lee Jones's tiger-skin-and-chains S & M outfit. Here's hoping for a clearer pic sometime soon!

Sorry, Tony but the look of Nolan's design is truly a relief compared to the early pics of Tommy Lee Jones I remember seeing in certain magazines at the time (not even sure if internet was even around much then ) ) . I also recall getting ill at the direction in which Schumacher was taking the franchise with its colorful kookiness.
I may not be totally in love with how Nolan conveys the look of such beloved characters to me but I cannot deny how the man keeps the texture of Batman's mythos in the proper frame and not LA CAGE AUX FOLLES-ing up like the Shu-man did; I mean he made the 60s show look more serious by comparison... 8-)
I highly doubt that this will dilute the impact of the film. It'll still more than likely be good.

Good catch, Hardy, I only noticed the tear of his suit in the shoulder, but you're right, it does look worse on that side. Cool!

No need to feel sorry Rogue, different strokes for different folks. The good thing about Batman is that he does lend himself to different interpretations.
It's fair to say that I like Batman Forever a good bit more than you did though. I never thought it went as far LA CAGE AUX FOLLES as you seem to think (Batman & Robin is another story).
Nolan just pulls it back to reality a little too much for me, be it his plain looking Scarecrow, his all but removing Raas' immortality and reference to the lazarus pits, and of course his giving Joker makeup rather than actual bleached skin. When you start to add all those elements up it all just starts to veer too far away from the look of the comics and because of that, Batman Forver will always have a place in my video library.

Y'know, in all the talk about the Two-Face figure, no on has mentioned that Mattel's Joker has at last been revealed:
Great detail! Action figures sure have changed since the '70s, when I played with 'em!
There's a neat website my brother turned me onto called cooltoyreview.com that has tons of images of toys and other collectibles from upcoming movies. Here's a page with some mor B:TDK stuff.

And yes, H.B., by comparison, the figures we played with in the 70s were pretty lame.
Remember the Captain America one minus red gloves? I don't think it even came with a shield. )
Whoa there, Rogue, watch what you say about my beloved Mego action figures! I had Cap, and while he didn't have the gloves (or the white sleeves--and the boots were wrong, too!), he certainly had the shield:

Hardyboy, where did you find that Deathstroke pic? Is that toy supposed to be part of the TDK toy line? It seems to have nothing to do with the tone of the Nolan films.

It's with the other Mattel TDK figures--I don't know if it was put there by mistake, if the film will have an appearance by Deathstroke which hadn't been publicized before, or if (like they did with the Spider-Man 3 figures last year) they're simply releasing a bunch of figures based on the comic book to tie-in with the movie.

Man those bring back memories. I hardly ever liked opening any superhero toys that I might've been given or bought. If I did, that meant that I had two of a kind. IDK, I treated my toys like I did/do my comic books.
Now here's a couple of toys that I ignored preserving and played with constantly:
My German Shepard ran off with the Klingon at the time. I have no idea what he did with it. He used to growl at it all of the time but perhaps watching Star Trek with me every day triggered something. )

Hated Klingons huh? Are you sure you had a german shepard there Rogue ... or was it a tribble?
My dog actually mangled my Batman Mego, but it was replaced the next Christmas with a Fist-Fighter! I also had all the Star Trek figures, and my brother wound up mutilating Mr. Spock--he "hid" the figure by wrapping it around the harp of the living room lamp. My father came home, switched on the lamp to read the paper, and after a while smelled burning plastic. There went Spock's leg. I was devastated, the lamp was damaged, and my brother was lucky my father didn't apply the Vulcan death grip!
Mr. Martini, as for the price of any mint-condition Mego. . .astronomical! Just head over to eBay--some figures in downright crappy shape sell for a lot, and even the most widely-available figures in boxes or on cards go for small fortunes. Too many 40-something guys trying to relive their lost youths, I guess. . .

I did the same thing to a stuffed monkey of my sisters. He wore a permanent leg cast after that...
Ah! Mego! That brings back memories of The Planet of The Apes figures that my brothers and I had (actually they belonged to my brothers, but they didn't appreciate them like I did). I did have, however, a Six Million Dollar Man figure which was the bomb! (but I don't think it was Mego).

I know he watched Star Trek attentively though. Maybe somewhere along the way he picked up a vibe from me that Klingons were bad or something...I don't know.
I do know that he took the Klingon figure because he had that funny look of his when he gets caught with his hand in the proverbial cookie jar. )
He never bothered my Batman toys though...he knew his limits. :v

It was from Kenner, and I had it, too--also the Maskatron figure, which was even cooler. (Unlike the 40-year-old Virgin, though, I never had Oscar Goldman.) And, Rogue, I'm glad my childhood pain brought a little pleasure to you. The list of toys my brother mangled is endless--and he's eight years older than me! You'd think he'd have had better things to do!
By the bye, do you all know that a company is re-manufacturing the old Trek figures, using the original Mego molds? The costumes are made from similar materials, and they're put on repro backing cards. I've thought about getting an Andorian figure, simply because a vintage one can set you back a couple thousand bucks!
Say, isn't this thread about The Dark Knight. . .?
... the next trailer for the film, this one featuring more Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) and Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart) is rumored to be premiering with "10,000 B.C." on March 7th.

As I am definitely going to be seeing 10,000 B.C, I can not wait to see a trailer for The Dark Knight on the big screen.

Cool site, Tony but outside of the Bruce Timm designs from a decade ago, I've hardly ever found a Batman action figure that I've loved.
They're either too complicated with utensils or just too flamboyant.
