Saw it last night, still might like the first a bit more, but damn, what a sequel. It's like Aliens to Alien. You British folk sure know how to make an effective, smart, thematic horror movie that delivers. One of the best zombie movies I've ever seen, and one of the best SEQUELS I've seen in a long time.

Yeah, I was more than pleasantly surprised. Think Children of Men meets Dawn of the Dead, while still being a sequel to the great 28 Days Later... and you have a good idea of what you're in for. The movie is exhaustingly frightening, and the political statements it makes are cynical and nihilistic, but ring so true.

looking forward to seeing it later this week - I really did enjoy the first one - but the scene where the chap walks around the deserted streets of London was spoilt a bit for me as somoene was playing Bagpipes near the cinema where I was watching it.
