Xenia Onatopp is still the highest ranked henchwoman in this game.
IMRO Fiona Volpe should be up there in her stead.

How on earth did Mayday...and Wint & Kidd?!?!...beat out Lucianna Paluzzi? I'm a fan of both characters btw...but Fiona Volpe was one of the benchmarks for the series-- one that to this day has not been topped. In her scene with Sean in bed, grabbing those bars, and her dismissive speech later, where she spitefully mocks Bond for believing that she succumbed to his charms...never has a better transition from utter sexiness to deadliness been captured on film, in Bond or otherwise. Connery's reaction, too, is perfect: "You don't think I got enjoyment out of that did you? What I did was for queen and country." You totally got the feeling-- at least for an instant-- that the unflapably cool Sean Connery had been put in his place by a woman. Bond has been dissed by women before-- but this time you really felt him shaken (if only for a brief instant). Fiona Volpe was and remains Bonds ultimate female nemesis.

If it was up to me it would go something like this.

3. Red Grant
That really is a tough call-- at the moment I'm leaning towards Grant. He seems to me to have been the best personal match for Bond-- lean, tough, menacing, smooth, intelligent-- not to mention that he was a psychotic killer. Out of all the villains his was the best mix of both a physical and intellectual threat to Bond. The way he creeps through the shadows throughout the first 2/3 of the movie, subtley controlling the tide of events, not uttering a word-- and then the final showdown on the train...pure awesomeness. Goldfinger was wonderful, but their conflict never really seemed as...personal...as it did between Bond and Grant (or between Bond and Savalas' Blofeld for that matter).

If Blofeld wins we should do another game between the different Blofelds. )
I was kind of hoping it would happen. This game has gone on for a while. Does anybody remember what year this thing started?
I would vote for Savalas. Although, if the FRWL/TB Blofelds count (and I don't think they should), then I will vote for them.

46. Jaws - If only the so called "intelligent" Bond was smart enough to shot him in the heart instead of the teeth at the end of TSWLM, he "might" have broken the top 10 instead he returns in MR
