  For the massive guy with whatever that monstrosity of a machine gun is, I always use what I call the Hit-and-Run technique. This works in just about any game.
  
  At the beginning of the level, make sure you don't shoot the fuel tanks across the river in the garage, because they will be useful with the massive guy. Do as usual until you get to the door of the garage. Get as much body armor as you can, then go through the door and press the button to lower the boat. Immediately look just slightly to your right and you'll see a fuel container in the distance. Run toward it while shooting at it. Kill anyone else you see behind any boxes, then run to the door where the baddies come out. Take your machine gun and just hold the trigger, they'll run right into the line of fire...
  
  Then for the massive dude... Use rockets if you have them (but don't blow yourself up!), or blow him up with whatever you happen to have--hit him with everything you've got. This is why I call it the Hit-and-Run: weaken him so that he'll stop firing for a second, then run back to the door. Hide behind the door and wait for him (you'll hear him ). Kill any baddies that come through just like you did before, only do it to the big guy as well. Open fire, blow him up and hope your body armor holds.
  
  Then you can lower the boat at ease. Alternatively, you could just stand there shooting him in the head with the Korean machine gun and see who dies first. :P The hit and run works for lots of games, especially Final Fantasy XII where you can just stand right next to the boundary, and if you are about to die, just leave the area and the baddies won't follow you.

  That was indeed a difficult part in FRWL!
  
  Currently I'm attempting to obtain all of the platinum medals in EON. I'm at the ruined tower where the challenge is to fire only 10 rounds or less for the whole level. Has anyone actually done this? My problem is that the guards gang up on me and while I'm playing fisticuffs with one, the other is nailing me with a submachine gun

  The best way is to zoom in and shoot his armor off the front of him. Then just kill him and kill off the rest of the goons and lower the boat.
