I really don't appreciate my concerns and others on this issue being called "whining". They're were all legitimate concerns and should be taken seriously and not dismissed as whining. I have also participated in the Magnoli TWINE/TND tie project, and by far that was a breeze and very painless compared to this endeavour. This should have been no different. Believe me, I am really trying hard to restrain myself right now, and perhaps before I say something I shouldn't, I will take a little breather from all of this!

Copaman, there are two versions, one with the pattern matching up on seams/pockets, and one with the pattern not quite matching.

We can still take the P out of Germans though right? I mean, some of them just deserve it. Especially one buttkick.gif

To be fair, you did actually moan about losing your patience with that project too because it was a week or so overdue.

No, I didn't. You might want to re-read all my posts concerning that project to see that before making false accusations.

For the extra 20 pounds, is everything going to match up or just certain parts of the shirt?

oops, i was genuinely hoping to get this thread back on garment (pun intended...)

devonknight, where does my whining comment refer to you?.......has someone else accused u of whining?....do u think uv been whining?....

actually been back through ur posts (i couldn't remember them particularly) and found nothing unusual.....

no i meant sruzgar when i said whining....go back and check the evidence....

however simon has promised never to whine again...

as regards the ease of this project, firstly We're dealing with new suppliers and the economics of the project almost killed it (until i stepped in alone to subsidize it) while indi is established and replicates like a machine, oh and makes a profit which no one begrudges him.....a little different i think.

Secondly i doubt the level of input by members/clients i've allowed in orderto make this a replica worth the outlay, would be tolerated by indi...has he ever run a thread which at times seems only bound by the us constitution (including ammendments - so i'll take the fifth...)

finally my offer to cede the project to you or any other on payment of my sunk cost, remains.....

now this is a sincere attempt to close the door to the noise and babble that has crept in recently..

    let's make some shirts!

    Take the 'Renoir' version
  • ddbl007ddbl007 USPosts: 46MI6 Agent
I'll stick around for a bit longer and go for the 'renoir' version at an additional £20.

Just as a small by-the-by, is the total cost going to be calculated in £ sterling? I only ask as obviously the rate of exchange can fluctuate.

Thanks for all your hard work guys and your patience.

    Dave.

Is the measurement site going to be up and running or should we PM measurements to Simon?

Just to be clear, what do we get for the $300 shirt?
It seems a little unprofessional and unethical for the tailors to charge extra so late in the game to do the shirt properly, but I commend you guys for hanging in and seeing this through.
  • copamancopaman Posts: 106MI6 Agent
Ok so the renoir version is the one that looks like the one in the movie?? When can i buy this shirt? And revoir version then? And please conform that the revoir version is infact the one that looks like the one in the movie.. And why are you guys upset by bondtoys might i ask?

Having agonized over this for weeks, I'm going to have to duck-out I'm afraid. :(

I just have my fingers in so many pies in combination with seemingly less and less disposable income these days. I know I'll regret it but at this time, I can't commit to £170 for a shirt I'll probably only ever wear 2/3 times and won't be able to display either.

Still, I'm happy in the knowledge that this frees up a slot for another collector. B-)

Wishing the project every success {[]

They may tell you, that it's because of my terrible personality :D

Truth is, that they are green with envy, that their team did not even make it to the final 16. :D
