Let's not dismiss Turkey so easily. They played an awesome game and came pretty close especially being undermanned. As for getting to Euro 2008, I seem to recall that Germany had a pretty easy group with the likes of Cyprus and San Marino in qualifying for the tournament as well as a pretty easy group to get out of with Austria and Poland. So let's cut Turkey a break, shall we?

I have to admit, that the match against Turkey has been terrible from the german team. It seems to get common, that all the "big" teams have their problems, when they are the favourites in the match. It seems to put them chains on their feet and give the other players wings. I recall the last Netherlands matches and they have been my favourites by far judging from the first match. I was not too impressed by Turkey, but they have a great spirit to never give up and 2 crazy goalkeepers

How often do you watch Football? A scene like this happens so often, he just slipped out. I can't see a reason to stop an attack in the 90th minute on this and I am sure, in the PL, noone will stop the match for something like this. And, let's not forget the not given penalty for Lahm...

I am still a little displeased with this tailor wanting more money in order to line up the patterns on this shirt though, but if that's the way it has to be, so be it. For the extra $40, will everything line up on this shirt or will it be only certain parts? I most likely will go for the "Renoir", but only if everything lines up.

as regards the match discussion above, we english have learned the 3 golden rules of international football
1) get used to not qualifying, grasping defeat from the jaws of victory, unless someone more incompetent than you hands you a place in the tournament (or better still you offer to hold the tournament which guarantees you a place)
2) the only way to beat the germans when the valkyrie are on their side is to employ russian linesmen, although even this ploy fails if it goes to a firing squad (otherwise known as penalties)
3) Germans are no less good sports than anyone else these days, although the tactics of a certain goalkeeper thomas schumacher (the masher to his fans) did leave one suspecting otherwise for a few decades...
so we have germany v spain, ballack v torres, beerfest versus Paella....
i can hardly wait, except i bet every german in the office today (two's many...) that they would finish runners up ....
may the best team be proud to follow in the Immortal footsteps of those world footballing jugernauts GREECE who for another 3 days can proudly call themselves champions of europe....

It seems a little unprofessional and unethical for the tailors to charge extra so late in the game to do the shirt properly, but I commend you guys for hanging in and seeing this through.
