    Will the weakening GBP affect the price for US customers? If before the price was 170 pounds, the current exchange rate is $275.67, much better than $340? :D

    Hi

    no, the price was set as $340 in US$s.

    That means it's fixed in US$ terms. As I intend to spend a lot of time in the US, I wanted to receive US$ as payment.

    That hasn't changed.

    Now, on a happier note (at least from the point of view of those living in Zimbabwe, where the price of the shirt as doubled whilst I've been writing this msg... :o ) I'm ready to receive payment from those in the first group.

    These shirts are being made as we speak, and so should be ready in abt 10 days I'm told.

    I've decided to set postage at

    UK $15 => total price inc postage US$355
    US $20 => total US$360
    Other $25=> US$365

    I'm sorry it's so expensive but I need to cover insurance and tracking etc. I'm certain some will get lost (this project has been cursed afterall) and I will need to spend time no doubt.

    I'm happy to take suggestions (personal collection, etc) to reduce cost. Please feel free to make suggestion ON PM TO ME, rather than the more general blast on the thread.

    I'm a reasonable man, and will entertain anything sensible.

    I'm getting psyched about this, and hope you all are too.

    Please PM me for instructions on how to pay.

    The sooner you PM me, the sooner you will receive your shirt. The shirts will be delivered on the basis of first paid first received.

    Unless you confirm your intent by PM'ing me, your shirt won't be made, even if you have previously said you wanted one.

    Please understand this is the only way I can distinguish the timewasters from the genuines.

    Some of you have already paid upfront.

    I wanted to say thank you for your patience and trust (in most cases). Your shirts are already being made.

    If there are any other questions (i'm bound to have forgotten something) don't hessitate to shout.

    Finally, may I make a request from the heart.

    This thread has too often degenerated.

    There have been man involved in this project;

    SRUZGAR, who has been immense in doing most of the donkey work on websites, spreadsheets, and expensive international telephone calls to chase the shirtmaker;
    ASP9mm who has often kept the UK end up while I've been on a beach..no beached, in the USA;

    and Mantis who has often chipped in on the thread with support and plain old common sense;

    They have all given up time (and in Si's case, money) for one reason...to allow collectors and fans to enjoy a genuine piece of Bond.

    Let's respect that. I'm eternally grateful to them.

    Cheers Paul

    UPDATE:
    ok we're getting close, and it's come to decision time.
    Firstly, Simon has done some sterling work getting the cost of the manufacture down a little.
    Secondly, the material should be ready any day now.
    Finally, we've decided on a price;

    $300 per shirt.

    I'm sorry if that's too much for some, and I quite understand. But anything lower and we'd have to make the run just too large to call it "Exclusive".

    I would still feel 007 when wearing this baby under my dawn North Face jacket.

    on the other hand, I have ordered DC size, so, it'll stay in my collection due to (over)weight reason.

    What was the final decision on this shirt as far as whether or not this should be limited to only one print run?
    Enquiring minds need to know.

    I promised to fill in some of the blanks from previous "debates"....including these...

    1) the 1st shirt will cost $300

    2) a second or subsequent shirts can be purchased at $230 per shirt. :o

    3) ......

    I forgot to re-knew the offer of a second shirt for the reduced price (as explained previously..

    So to reinforce;

    1) the 1st shirt will cost $340

    2) a second or subsequent shirts can be purchased at $270 per shirt.

    cheers

    Quick update..

    we're ready to start delivering the first shirts...

    many of you have received PMs detailing paypal instructions, and many have already paid in full.

    Thx to all of those, and I'm hopeful that early next week we might be able to get a few of these shirts off to their new owners.

    It's not too late to join up, although we're already most of the way to the initial break even point so I doubt there will be much more time devoted to this nightmare.

    And yes, I wore mine to the Premiere on wednesday, under my tux, only to unwrap it Connery-wetsuit-style when Katherine Jenkins asked me was I going commando...

    (for those of you who have never heard of, her, she's in the 2nd row of pics..

    Paul, that is a great story about you and Katherine Jenkins. Perhaps you could have helped her um, get something off her chest!

    Quick question...I probably missed this earlier in the thread but what are our labels going to look like. Will they have our names or screen names on them or no name at all. I really don't have a preference but I know it was discussed. I just think I missed the conclusion.

    Thanks!
