I really appreciate the guys for getting this sorted out, and if it wasn't for one excuse or another I would jump at the chance but at $300, I will have to decline the offer. BUT please do bare me in mind if the price drops below $250!

Enjoy your shirts agents, post some photos!

    Hi!
The exclusive $300 would be a tad too much for me at the moment...If a $230 version was issued a bit later I'd still be interested but that would have to be my limit...It's a GREAT shirt and all but -there has to be a limit somewhere!

Very excited about this...checking this post everyday and its neat to see more and more people jumping on this. I daresay that when these start being delivered and pictures of people on the board wearing these are posted there will be an onslaught of takers.

What was the final decision on this shirt as far as whether or not this should be limited to only one print run?

Just out of curiosity, is the company that's making the shirts offer any sort of guarantee on their work just in case when it's received it happens to have some sort of defect or flaw?

I promised to fill in some of the blanks from previous "debates"....including these...

    1) the 1st shirt will cost $300

    2) a second or subsequent shirts can be purchased at $230 per shirt. :o

    3) it will be tailored ie we need your measurements. if you can't be bothered to get the tape out, you can opt for one of 4 standard sizes (S/M/L/XL) we'll find out what these rough chest sizes are.

    4) As tailoring can confuse, we'll be posting an idiot-proof pictorial guide to getting those measurements.... :#

    5) we will get the makers to attempt to match the actual shirt design (ie pattern layout) as much as possible...but recall, there were loads of shirts used (no, really?? :o ) and a glance at the film betrays slight differences between patterns. I'm plumping for the layout on the pics earlier in the thread.

    6) Swatches - there will definitely be an opportunity to buy framed swatches 6inch square - later....I want to get the hydrolics of the shirts done first. besides, I can hardly wait to get a thread going to discuss the price these should be... :s

    7) There will be a "No-Ebay" form to sign. Each shirt will be numbered, indelibley in the makers label...that way, cutting the label out will dramatically reduce the value.

    8) This is intended to be a single run affair. Given it'll take 4-5 meters to do each shirt, and we have only :s 500m, there is a clear maximum of 100-125 shirts anyway, excluding swatches.

    9) But as the debate on here about a cheaper run later was a fairly conclusive(NON) we're decided.
I guarantee, my word as a gentleman, that there will be no further shirts for 12 months, at a lower price than agreed here - $300 for the 1st shirt, £230 for subsequent.

    10) In order to clarify this condition, we have to set a time limit on this "run". That is, anyone applying for a shirt(s) before August 31st will get what they want. After that there will be no more for 12 months (ie until august 31st 2009).

    11) So far we have 20-odd committeds. This isn't economic as a "run". We're aiming for around 55 shirts total, including "discounted seconds at $230"....

    12) If we're still at this level (20-odd) in a weeks' time, we'll reconsider the whole project.
Please commit the total shirts you're in for, and chase your friends, many of which below, said they were interested but have not reappeared.

    Cheers, Paul

Where are these shirts being shipped from (UK, States, etc.)? The reason I ask is that being from Canada, I most likely will get nabbed for duty on this shirt, and at $300 US, it won't be cheap. If it's from the States, I do know someone there who I could have it shipped and pick it up from to avoid the duty. By the way, you can count me in for at least one.

All shirts will be manufactured and shipped from London, we should be able to figure out something with the shipping, perhaps it will be mailed as a gift ;)

Can't believe I 've never seen this topic before and have just read all 14 pages.

I'm just a DVD collcetor and a couple of books and am not into the shirts and accesories etc.

Why don't people who cannot stump up for a $300 dollar shirt but feel comfortable around the $250'ish mark, go in with some one buying a shirt and share the costs.

    eg
Buyer A buys one shirt at $300 for self
Buyer A buys 2nd shirt at £230 for Buyer B

    Costs for Buyer A and Buyer B = $300+$200 /2 =$265 for each buyer (£132.50)

    eg
Buyer A buys one shirt at $300 for self
Buyer A buys 2nd shirt at £230 for self
Buyer A buys 3rd shirt at £230 for Buyer B

    Costs for Buyer A and Buyer B = $300+$230+$230 /3 =$253 for each buyer(£126.50)

I thought we were here to help each other ....?
