Some pretty good stuff here:

Whether one supports his interpretation or not, his perspective on the job at hand is admirable: "I want to make sure the next two, three, four, whatever films I manage to do before they chuck me out, or before it goes tits up, sit nicely within this era."
Maybe the most intriguing tidbit is that the movie's title "may be locked in." B-)

Okay I'm confused. Is Craig signed for four more films or not? ?:)
Or is Craig still only committed to do three?
Hopefully it's the latter. :v

B-)
although its funnier if you watch Russel Brand's interview before it.
Oh please, please, please don't keep me in suspense EON!! After all, how am I supposed to start doing fan art when I don't know the title. ?:)
I think he's signed for four more---what he's saying, IMO, is that he realizes that he serves at the pleasure of Eon, and can be chucked out sooner than that...now, don't start getting your hopes up, Young Man :v )
Thanks very much for the YouTube link, TM007 {[] My wretched dial-up is currently in the process of downloading it...
Meantime, MI6 has what looks like most (or all) of the Times article:

Damnit, I can dream can't I? )

Just watched that as it was repeated last night- very funny, especially with Russell Brand! Craig managed to be a little livelier than I expected- I think he knew what he was letting himself in for!
I'm sure a few people on this site will have enjoyed Ross calling him 'Craggy' and bringing up a picture of Sid James!

And I thought it was interesting when Craig talked about Bond giving him the freedom to do other, more personal projects...
It seemed that #22's title was at the tip of his tongue, didn't it? I wonder what he meant when Ross prodded him into revealing that it doesn't hearken back to the others ?:) Either way, with filming about six weeks away, things will reach critical mass very soon, and news such as title and cast will no doubt be forthcoming B-)

Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose! It was ever thus of course, right back to Connery and his films like The Hill etc. Not all of 'em of course- Roger didn't really feel the need, which is kind of cool. And Pierce... well he had a go!
Yeah, I wouldn't try and analyse that too much- there's very little meat there to pick over. As you say, we'll know soon enough!
Oh, and watch the Russell Brand interview that came before if you can; it's a great laugh!
I will check out the other interview---don't know the fellow at all, but (based on the interplay between he and Craig) it looks interesting )

What are else are we supposed to do but overanalyze? Otherwise we wouldn't have this glorious fansite Well, I agree with the title analysis, won't be an old one rehashed and most likely won't be a Fleming title. I can't wait to hear what it is though, I am biding my time that's for sure. I hope that within the next six weeks we will indeed hear what it is.
Coming up with the title of a new Bond must be a challenging proposition, as Fleming set the standard quite high. To be clever, but not trite...distinctive, but not hackneyed...Tomorrow Never Lies would have been classic
Back to topic: It's good to see that Craigger, with one of these under his belt, has a healthy sense of preparation and awareness heading into his sophomore effort :007)

Quite frankly, I don't know which was worse: Craig's interview performance or that quartet's musical rendition of Elton John's "Daniel." ) Alright, I'll side with Craig just this once.
That said, Jonathan Ross and Russell Brand were an absolute riot! Mr. Brand is quite the character! )
X-(
Can't really say I'm surprised. At this point, the last thing I expect Craig to do in one of his Bond films is something Bondian. :v
I hate to say it, but CnB is seeming more and more inviting by the day.
Forgive my curiosity, but why do people think so much is riding on the next film's title. "What's in a name? A rose by any other name would smell as sweet." A good title does not guarentee a good film. Take "Casino Royale" for instance, which had a title taken directly from Fleming. :v
Sure, I want to hear the title. But I'm going to focus more on the film's actual content, despite my already low expectations. :v
-Roger Moore
You should have seen Clive Owen on there- at one point Ross shouted at him 'You don't want to talk about it?! It's a ****ing chat show; what did you think would happen?!'
Comparatively Craig's went surprisingly well! Ross never offers an entirely smooth interview experience...
I'm not absolutely certain what he means by that- does he mean very obvious puns and the like? Very stagy written gags? As he says, the humour's got to be there, and it was in CR; and I think it worked well. I suppose if he's talking about the same kind of level of humour of CR, and not just Bond trotting out a load of quips and smug puns, I would have to agree with him.
People just want to know the title. No-one's said the film's success rides on it, but Bond films have a history of having sexy interesting titles, and we are just curious to hear what the new addition to that will be. Plus, the chances are that the title will be the next bit of big news that comes along about the film. To be honest, I was sort of disappointed that Casino Royale was announced so far ahead of the film getting made- I rather missed that little bit of excitement when it was all building up!
One of the reasons why a title is so important to me, is that I treat a film as an entire experience, and so having a great title or terrific title sequence can add a little extra (it's also the same for novels and CD's.) It's especially so with Bond, where the title sequence (which doesn't really affect the film), as well as the title song, have become such an integral part of the film. Imagine GF without Bassey and the nudes in the title sequence.
Like you Tee Hee, my expectations for this film are not exactly sky high (which aren't helped by Craig's comment above) but I am desperate to find out the title.
It's ironic that Brit comedian Russell Brand gets exposure to the US thanks to this show, without having to tour... Actually, my signature comes from an MTV advert in which Brand faces a sceptical old nerk during a mock interview for his job...
Brand is in the new St Trinian's film btw, only now getting some exposure. It's this year's Spice World for good or bad...

Oooh vicious... |)
If you call a baddie being thrown onto what is obviously a rubber bed of 'nails'---and the Indian Fakir saying "Get off my bed!" in subtitles---to be 'Bondian'...well, I hope #22 is quite far from it :007)

"Paul (Haggis) has put another great script in. So it's just ours to f**k up. We've got to get on with it. And we have started. I've been pulled away to do this (interview). We're in rehearsals now. We start (filming) January 4th."

This combined with his comment about the series going 'tits up' after a few films doesn't inspire confidence.
