Replica Gold Lotus Presentation Model FS

Having given up hope of ever being able to find/afford a real one, I made a replica for myself ... and put an extra up for auction on eBay.

If you aren't a serious Corgi collector or fan of Bond toys, ten originals were distributed by Corgi to attendees at the SWLM premiere in '77.

Frankly, if I'd known how much time and money the copies would take, I would have stuck with finding an original ...

I copied the Corgi presentation piece exactly, starting with a true vintage die-cast (Corgi later changed the design slightly) which I stripped and plated in 24kt gold (the originals were actually 14kt but that wasn't readily available).

That is a sterling piece of work, PoorMansJB - I can only imagine the effort that was put into creating such a piece. I hope the aution goes well.

I have just received my model from PoorMansJB and am absolutely thrilled by the quality of this item.

I can only recommend to everyone to get one of these, they can't get any better!
