TLD - After Saunders is killed the look on Bonds face. He is genuinely angry that a man he has come to like and respect has been killed. Some genuine emotion from Bond for once. Shows him as more human. You just know that after he vaulted the fence if it had been Necros rather than the boy with the balloon Bond would have shot him where he stood.
GE - The scene on the Cuban beach between Bond and Natalyia. It is beautifully shot and acted. Bond showing that you pay a price for being a OO.
Casino Royale. On the boat in the Venice canals and in the hotel with Vesper. A couple really in love rather than just another of Bond's easy lays.
Apologies in advance if this pops up more than once. Been having some technical problems with the last couple of posts in that they have been appearing 2 or 3 times.
I always chuckle watching the Montenegro Train sequence at Bond's stunned reaction to Vesper's "I suppose you realise that if you lose, our goverment will have directly funded terrorism."
The Bond/Dryden scene at the opening of CR is one of my favorites. Dryden is almost as cool as Bond. His "Made you feel it, did he?" is one of the best lines yet. The interplay between the old jaded professional who knows he's beaten and the younger, colder, more arrogant Bond is truly sensational. While the scene doesn't exactly give me a "warm glow", I can remember clearly hissing "YES!" between clenched teeth as
Bond zaps Dryden and the scene cuts back to the restroom where he kills the contact. There are no silly gadgets, no gags or bad jokes, no old folks doing double takes, just a tough, realistic Bond doing his job. Very Cool.-{
