Who Is He?

The scene I am referring to is, the scene where this "unknown man" demonstrates to Bond the weapons etc, and the golden bullets that are made.....Bond turns round with a rifle on an axle and pushes him for information. He is an asian man that wears a white suite and is also seen at the casino table.

Does anyone know the actor and the characters name?

Lazar is clearly identified by name in the dialogue of the film as the man who makes Scaramanga's bullets. As Q might say, "Now pay attention, Tilly!"

This is one of the best scenes in TMWTGG, when the writers still harboured ideas of trying to make Sir Roger's Bond into something of a *******; sometimes i wish they had followed this route a little more, but then it would have deprived me of the silly pleasures that are TSWLM and MR.

Sir Rog himself thanked Richard Maibaum for writing this line... the 'speak for forever hold your piece' one, in an intervew around 1985.

However, I wondered if that weren't some snidery on Sir Rog's part... as Maibaum didn't write the line but Mankiewz or whatever his name was, who did polished DAF, LALD and Golden Gun.

Maibaum had done a big interview in Starlog mag slagging off Roger's interpretation of the role in the Battle of the Bonds year, saying "We tried to get back to the old films with FYEO but couldn't because we didn't have Sean. Roger thinks he's a great wit and comes up with some lines like 'Something big has come between us.' With Sean you really believed he could kill someone..." etc
"This is where we leave you Mr Bond."
