Tomorrow Never Dies, great action and suspense and the "white knight" track by david arnold was very heroic sounding and fit the action great.

Hey! I sure agree your list "favourite Bond"! Timothy Dalton is the best Bond in the past, now and also in the future!

He did two great Bond -movies and he had seven possibilities to act in the leading role of Bond -movies. I'm so sad because he never got his third chance even he was offered the leading role of Goldeneye, but he didn't want that anymore...after four years contract arguments...

Dalton looks like Fleming's Bond, he act like that Bond, his facial expression is so real, so well and he really devoted in the role of Bond...much more than other Bonds.

    Thanks! :)

I'm gonna have a go at putting them in order, although it won't be easy...

1 TSWLM (best opening in Bond history I must admit)
    2 GE (really excellent opening)
3 TWINE (I love this opening... pitty about the rest of the film)
4 TLD (another classic - great introduction for Dalton)
5 FYEO (I like this opening a lot, very entertaining, however, it's just out of sync with the rest of the film)
6 DAD (suprisingly, DAD has a very strong opening... but a very weak film in general)
7 LALD (very interesting, keeps you intrigued and engaged)
8 OP (good viewing, cool action sequences)
9 FRWL (I guess this was the first ever Bond PTS as DN didn't have one - I really liked the feel, although it lacked extreme action)
10 CR (different, and interesting. memorable. didn't take to the B/W though. Felt it was unneccassary)
11 OHMSS (Standard really, not bad, but nothing special)
12 DAF (good and memorable, however, out of sync with rest of film)
    13 GF (classic, but overrated)
14 AVTAK (california girls ruined it, but apart from that it's not a bad opening really, has some good scenes)
15 TMWTGG (unusual. but for some reason, I never took to it that much. I like how the main villain is included in the PTS though)
16 LTK (nothing special, but good to see Leiter in a PTS)
17 YOLT (boring really, good film but weak PTS)
18 TB (forgettable. overrated. boring. just like the rest of the film. sorry TB fans)
    19 TND (boring, pointless, unmemorable)
20 MR (yes, that's right, I rank the famous MR PTS low - why? 'cos I found it friggin' stupid! yes I know he's Bond, but falling from that high, you've gotta at least show a bit of concern! and why didn't Jaws die after falling from that high? I know Bond films don't always promote realism, but that's just ridiculous)
    21 DN (N/A - didn't have one)
    1 - LALD, 2 - AVTAK, 3 - LTK, 4 - OP, 5 - NTTD, 6 - FYEO, 7 - SF, 8 - DN, 9 - DAF, 10 - TSWLM, 11 - OHMSS, 12 - TMWTGG, 13 - GE, 14 - MR, 15 - TLD, 16 - YOLT, 17 - GF, 18 - DAD, 19 - TWINE, 20 - SP, 21 - TND, 22 - FRWL, 23 - TB, 24 - CR, 25 - QOS

    1 - Moore, 2 - Dalton, 3 - Craig, 4 - Connery, 5 - Brosnan, 6 - Lazenby

I'm not going to take the time to rank them all, so I'll do my top five:

    1. Goldeneye - Great action and suspense

    2. The Spy Who Loved Me

    3. Goldfinger

    4. For Your Eyes Only - Mostly because of the long awaited Tracy reference.

    5. A View to a Kill {:) - Believe it or not I love this PTS. When I was a kid I used to rewind the tape and play the beginning over and over again. It is mostly because of the score, I don't know what it is about it but I love it. Of course I try to ignore the use of the Beach Boys song but it doesn't ruin it for me.

I love AVTAK's PTS as well Georgiboy. The ski, snowmobile, and snowboard stunts are great. John Barry's "Snow Job" is one of his finest action pieces IMO. I even like the "California Girls" cue too! :o {:)

AVTAK started off so well. It's a shame that that momentum didn't last throughout the entire film.

Yes, it's a damn shame. Although, I do love the ending on the Golden Gate bridge with the similar score. It is my favorite Bond-Villain battle of the series.

    Thanks for your thoughts people.......

I noticed a couple of you rate TND higher than my number five. I too love the sequence but you must admit it's somewhat ruined by the guy who gets ejected out of one MIG and lands up sat in the back of the one above it!....just stupid.

Well Goldfinger is the classic answer here IMO. It is essentially a mini-film and shows much of what makes Bond entertaining crammed into five minutes. Pulling off the wetsuit to reveal the tux is a great moment in Bond history. I also think that Goldeneye's teaser is very well done and one of the most exciting. Thunderball is another that I particularly enjoy and don't think gets enough credit. I'm sure Bond punching a "woman" surprised a lot of people seeing the film for the first time.
