Peter Sellers as Bond

Did anyone else enjoy seeing Sellers as Bond? I know Casino Royale was not the best film, but I did like seeing Sellers in his 1960s prime. Any one else enjoy seeing him in the film?

CR'67 is a messed up flick, but somehow emerges out of it all as a real fun ride. It has nothing but fine actors all round, I suspect it is the acting talent that in the end saves the film.

It's David Niven though, as Sir James Bond that's my favorite - especially when he is driving that Bentley - pure class all the way!!!

I'm afraid it is a dire film with no redemming features IMHO

It's better to watch in the second half, quite fun. The rubbish stuttering Bond hinders it early on, plus all that rubbish with Deborah Kerr. Later it's a sort of mad trip.

Sellers is trying to be suave, not unsuccessfully. Have you seen The Life and Death of Peter Sellers, mooreisbest? It has a neat section on Sellers' making of CR, when he basically had a breakdown and went AWOL from the set, much to the producer's chagrin.
"This is where we leave you Mr Bond."
