Burn Notice

Has anybody else seen this fantastic show about a spy getting struck off and hiring his skills out in Miami?
Jeffrey Donovan has charisma to burn in the leading role. There's great support from the always entertaining Bruce Campbell, and Gabrielle Anwar is hotter than hell.
What I love about BN is that it's largely angst-free. Bourne, Bauer and Adam Carter from Spooks are fairly humourless, troubled individuals. Even Bond is a bit serious these days. But the hero here, Michael Weston, wants to be a spy. He's gutted when he's excluded from the game and wants to get back in. It's serious when it has to be, but BN puts the fun back in the genre.

And you can't go wrong with Bruce Campbell in almost any setting, either. B-)
And a rogue AI is right. It is alot like Desolation Jones.

Bruce is the king. I always wanted to see the other TV shows he did, The Adventures of Brisco County Jr and Jack of All Trades, but they never aired in the UK.
As for Burn Notice, it's the only current TV show where I've seen every single episode. Donovan's voice overs crack me up every week - the "Ask A Spy" shorts on the USA website are not to be missed! I do wish we'd see a little more character development this season, though; I like watching the missions and the funny accents and the double-crossing, but the most recent episodes are starting to wear a little thing. There is some family angst to balance it all out, but nowhere near Alias proportions. I'm increasingly a fan of Sharon Gleiss's neurotic but well-intentioned Madeleine. And figuring out who burned Michael Westen reminds me a little of the Prisoner, with Karla as a really hot Number Two of sorts.
Sadly no. I think it's on its second season at the moment in the USA, although why no UK channel has picked it up yet is beyond me.
Sadly not outwith the US you can't. But you can buy the Region 1 DVD from Amazon.

You'll need a region free or unlocked DVD player to play it.
God I remember her so well in that, even her characters name... Sam :x
LOL! I think I remember that series! ) She is sexy as hell.. and gorgeous. I completely understand the guys drooling over her! ) )
I like the lead a lot... not exactly my type but I like the attitude... I prefer Peter Petrelli on Heroes (with as little clothing on as possible )) but this guy cracks me up, I love his attitude.
And I find Burn Notice an extremely entertaining show. It's on satellite here in Italy, and I can pick what language I want to see it in (original or dubbed) so it's perfect. It's a very entertaining show, the humour I find PRICELESS! ) Especially when the mother is involved ) )
A question: is the mother played by a guy or a woman?? She does look like a man with woman makeup etc ) )
:v That's Sharon Gless of Cagney and Lacy fame as Weston's mother. She's aged, and age can sometimes be cruel...
