Great news for you action figure lovers...

http://74.52.193.82/events/main.php?g2_itemId=89548

Just prototypes at the minute, but they will be 5 inch fully articulated with vehicles and accessories and loadsa stuff. The classic range will be 7 inches for some reason and come with dioramas.

First wave will be Casino Royale action figures. Check out the gunbarrel Craig, he has a PPK. Does this mean that........

And... just what does that mean? I know it's off topic, but I've heard references on the forum to Craig using a PPK briefly in the pre-title sequence. Has anyone (BluRay users perhapts) been able to tell for sure? The informant is using an H&K USP, but he picks that up, so presumably Bond picks up his own gun to turn and fire. I assumed it was the P99 he uses for the rest of the movie.

I'll jump in here, since I have the Blu-Ray and always enjoy a discourse on the guns of oo7!

Actually I didn't recognise the PPK until I bought the "Bond on Set" coffee table book. After owning the book a few weeks I happened to glance at the cover photo of DC from the "Gunbarrel Sequence" and noticed that the front profile of the pistol DC was holding was not a P99. Surprised, I checked both a P99 and PPK and sure enough the pistol in Danny's mit turned out to be a perfect match for the PPK.

I then fired up the LCD and Blu-Ray. Even sharp as those images normally are, the PTS is done in a grainey Black & White, so the pistol DC grabs up off the floor is a bit of a blur. It appears smaller than a P99 and has the angled shape of a PPK magazine extension on the bottom of the grip.

I checked again when making this post, standing close enough to the TV to get singed by radiation. The only new observation I can make is that the pistol has a more reflective finish than a P99 - the shiney finish is consistant with a blued PPK.

The nice colour image on the front of the "Bond on Set" book does not appear to be from the PTS as DC never quite raises his pistol up to the level of his mouth in the PTS, except for when the smoke from the gunshot appears, but this obscures his face.

Conclusion: While the "Bond On Set" cover clearly shows a PPK the scene is the actual movie is less clear - even with the magic of Blu-Ray. But based on all the evidence in hand one can conclude with confidence that the PTS pistol was a PPK.

No doubt someone has a call sheet, photograph or other document from the film to remove any doubt.

Sorry for taking this even further off topic. But as ASP9mm initiated this thread, I hope he will understand and indulge this diversion.

The figures are very well done, and they prehaps hold the ultimate clue since they were clearly fashioned by someone who had access to a lot of photographs.

They should be released in the late Summer. They will then have multiple articulation.

7289, no apologies necessary, it's been driving me mad to know what he used in the PTS as you can't really tell. Great observations, I'm going with your conclusion. Plus the figure and book back this up.

    Oh these look rather good!
But I'm confused- who's making them? Corgi? That's a bit of a departure for them, isn't it?

Oh and notice that Camille, Greene, Medrano and, er, Elvis appear to be listed too! :)

They are definitely Corgi, and hardly a departure for Corgi...remember Corgi Icons?..

    http://cgi.ebay.com/James-Bond-Corgi-Icon-Moore-in-Tan-Suit-Ltd-to-1000_W0QQitemZ140203651861QQihZ004QQcategoryZ56322QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

But these are just mock ups for the Toy fair...while some are clearly the finished item, looks like some are just old models ...

    take for example the cars...

    http://74.52.193.82/events/main.php?g2_itemId=89753

    and
    http://74.52.193.82/events/main.php?g2_itemId=89759

those are definitely the Vanq and XK from DAD, not a DBS and ?? from Bond 22 as listed...

    This is the scoop;
"Corgi are doing James Bond action figures, and the sculpts they had on show today were amazing. Heck, they even let us take a bunch of pictures of them as well...

What I love about the guys at Corgi is they are producing some amazing product: The Harry Potter 3.75" line is a favorite of mine, Golden Compass might have sucked as a movie, but the action figures rocked as hard as the book, and now Corgi gets to do Bond.

The James Bond action figure line will be 5" in scale. A bit disappointing for those of us who wanted a 3.75" Bond line, but given the prevalence of 5" lines in the UK (Doctor Who, Primeval, Robin Hood) you can maybe understand why Bond's owners were keen for this scale.

The first wave is due out in September, based on Quantum Of Solace and that's going to be a tall order given that filming only just started and it takes a year to make an action figure. Hence why the product on display was all from Casino Royale. But don't despair, classic bond figures are entirely possible.

There will also be another 7" line called the Meticulate line. This was likened to some McFarlane or Force Unleashed pieces, in that they are static pieces with a diorama.

Of course Bond wouldn't be Bond without his gadgets and there are plans for a number of role-play items. His most famous of all gadgets are the cars, and yes: Corgi will be making the Bond cars, and yes the 5" figures will fit inside them.

I'm excited about Bond because the sculpts on show look amazing, to the extent that as we were talking it was suggested that maybe they should do a bust line as well.

We're be hearing more about Bond in the lead up to their release, but for now check out the images in our UK ToyFair Gallery and drool! "

Yeah, but they were just models- these are articulated toys; but then if they did the Golden Compass range...

Thanks for the story there- I knew there'd be a write-up but I couldn't find it. Not sure how they're going to turn all this around for September (I don't really buy that date for the Quantum toys at all) but I'll definitely be getting a couple!

And they're in the same scale as the Doctor Who toys! You can have Daniel Craig and Christopher Eccelston recreate Our Friends In The North! :) And a Dame Judi Dench action figure... You can stand her next to your Sir Derek Jacobi Dr Who figure! Now all we need is that Geoffrey Palmer (from either Who or Bond) and we can play As Time Goes By... bliss :D

Alright some new action figures at last.

I hope that make of figure of Timothy Dalton from The Living Daylights in his tuxedo or the battle gear he wore in the PTS. I was pretty sad that Sideshow only did figures based him from Licence To Kill, which I was not very impressed with sculpt wise, plus I only have so much space in bedroom for my collection.

I hope that the "Bond Boat" is the Q Boat from TWINE since Corgi has yet to make one.

I think it's more likely that it's a boat from Quantum...

That is sort of a 'Q' boat then....;)

I wonder if Corgi will take requests, because aving given it careful consideration I have decided that I NEED a figure of Bond in the three-piece suit with the UMP from the end of Casino Royale.
Also a figure of him in Nassau with the blue Sunspel shirt would be cool because I have one of those shirts and short blond hair. So I could say it was a figure of me... and I am a geek.

Ah, now I see it on the poster behind one of the figures. Well since we're on diffent sides of the Pond, it's going to be hard for me to get that drink to you. However I had a few Newcastle's for you last night during the Super Bowl. I hope you approve... {[]

I have been selling 12" Action Figures on ebay for the last 3 months or so.

I have carefully researched my subject to make the best 12" Daniel Craig 007 action figure available today. They are selling really well and I'll be putting more on sale in the next few months.

If you want to check out the figures that I have sold so far click on the links below.

I'll post another message as soon as I have another one completed, which should be in the next 7 days or so. I also do commission work too. Delivery time is usually about a month.

I don't make a huge amount of money on these. I just find it really relaxing and satisfying to create the best 007 action figure that I can to a high degree of accuracy.

I you like what you see drop me a line via AJB007 in the first instance and I'll contact you for a further discussion.

    Best Wishes

Are these ever going to come ?
The first wave is being released this month but it is not able to be pre-ordered anywhere yet. I think they will be delayed.

i think because of Corgi being sold off has slowed down or cancelled ranges all together,,,,

same goes for Master Replicas as they teamed up wth Corgi to get the Bond licence to make the Bond props that they said they were going to release and there is no word on these yet
