Horrible Weather today in the UK.

I am having real problems with wind here today, I am really getting blown. I came out a short time ago, and it was coming up my back passage so forcefully, I nearly fell over. There is stuff flying about all over the place, and people are having to hold on tightly to make sure they don't get blown off! A signpost outside has several signs attached, and the wind has just cracked one off. It scudded down the road and nearly had someone on the pavement. I just stepped out onto my raised area, there's a lot of water here now, you should see what's collected around my manhole; I've now got more debris in my crevice than I thought possible.

There is bush all over the place! I'm not looking forward to the journey home, because if it stays like this, knowing the dirt tracks I like to go up, I can well see myself being had off in a ditch somewhere.

Did anyone else experiencing similar problems this morning....?

    Very similar conditions to yourself!

We have had snow/sleet and constant wind here today.

;) Very good. I wish the weather girls on TV would talk like this, it would make the reports much more interesting. Especially if there is lots of bush around.

    :)) :)) :))

I didn't quite suffer from the problems you had this morning (I was unaware that bush is flying into faces) but we did get horizontal snow earlier.
