...possibility to write a totally own Bond story. Of course I don't know those copyright standards so good but I think that it's possible to write own and distinctive Bond story if it is intented to you not for everyone.
I have been thinking this because I would like to know how good Bond writer I can be. I write very much and I have already written four books and over 100 short-stories.
If I write a Bond story it is my own vision about James Bond, 007. Much of romantic, feelings, passion, intelligence and sorrow but still darkness. Less technic and superhuman style. Bond would be something like Dalton (furthermore my additions!)
Have you been thinking this at all? Or do you have your own Bond story already? What do you think about this?

As far as copyright laws go, I believe that if your story is not published and you are not making a profit from it, you should be ok. If the story is EITHER published, and I don't mean print, it can be pubished electronically or any other method of distribution to a third party, OR that a profit is made as a result of the story, then there is a breach of copyright.
Having said all that, there may be some provision in the copyright that allows fan fiction to be published in limited numbers. It all depends on the rights of the copyright holder, and perhaps if you contact the current Bond licence holder, whoever that may be, they may be able to give you a better understanding of permissable uses of the James Bond 007 trademark.
I don't mean to discourage you from writing a Bond story. Go ahead and write it, but I would strongly advise that before you publish the story in any form, seek permission first.
