I have been looking at the clips and B-roll footage on line for months. The trailer will be the cherry on the top. I really can't wait either. :p

Now that the film is in the can, I think we can expect more titbits of information soon. We now know that Tom Ford is the tailor, soon we'll have the titles singer and the cell phone make/model etc.

We also need another poster as well. Do fans think we'll get a 2nd teaser poster, or will that be it now until the official broadsheet? I think that just one more teaser with pics from the film should be released, just to keep us going!!!!!

Not long until this trailer. I think I will be shaking with pure joy when the trailer is loading, which I will let buffer all the way through so I can watch it all in one hit without delay. I can't wait to see Craig in action, shooting and smashing his opponents as only he can.

bbc breakfast just screened it...bond looks like he has swiped jason bournes motorbike...bit underwhelming to be honest...oddly enough the advance copy i saw a few weeks ago came from the other breakfast show in the uk

It looked bad did it? Or was it the fact that Bourne used a bike in Ultimatum that puts a sour taste in your mouth?
  • delon64delon64 RiyadhPosts: 176MI6 Agent
bourne is the way bond has gone i suppose...dialogue includes m saying get bond...leiter and bond talking about 30 seconds to go or something and a lot of crash bang whallop...good brassy bond theme though

How come it was screened on the BBC when it isn't officially released until Monday (according to Empire magazine's website)? Has anyone else seen it?

I wouldn't get too worried about the trailer looking like a Bourne movie. The Bourne movies are edited and cut like a two hour trailer anyway. Also, from what I understand, on most films the trailers are put together by people who specialize in trailers and the actual director has little to do with the process. It's also not unusual for scenes that show up in trailers to end up not even being in the final cut of the film. And lest we not forget, Bourne is derivative of the Bond films. If there was no cinematic Bond, the Bourne films would look much different or not even exist at all. Those fast paced fight scenes in the Bourne movies were excellent IMO, but the Connery Bond films did it first and set the standard. The fight on the train in FRWL is still probably the best fight scene ever. With CR, it's apparent that the Bond films are returning to the tradition of great hand to hand fights (the men's room assasination in CR is up there with the best Bond fights IMO). Sorry if I got a little off track, but with QOS trailer coming out in a few days, the Bond fever is starting to hit me:D

I guess the Bourne comparisons aren't going to end anytime soon. Still it's a bit like saying that a father looks like his son, instead of the other way round ;)

As long as Forster keeps the handheld to a judicious minimum...

For those of us who have to work for a living to pay for our Bond Lifestyle, and so didn't see the BBC Breakfast feature, I have been watching it over and over here:

It is just a ten second clip of the trailer - but looking fabulous IMO!!! :))

I was actually quite amazed at this bit of info. If I had not been browsing IGN, I would have never noticed this. However, for me this is quite the blessing, as it would have made my last few days seem like forever due to the anticipation. Cant wait!

It's a bit uninspired, I think. No big money shot like the Aston flip or even Dan-in-his-trunks as in the CR trailer. And the bike jump is a bit too Bourne Ultimatum to put in the trailer, isn't it?

Add Judi moaning at Bond again and I start to feel as if I've seen it before. It's far from bad, but I'm not as excited as I was with the CR trailer.
  • wordswords Buckinghamshire, EnglandPosts: 249MI6 Agent
I think alot of the action looks great. I like the look of the planes bit and the Aston Martin spinning in the tunnel. The thing is, CR was all fresh and different so this is going to seem uninspired by comparison because its following a formula. To me it looks better than CR.

Yes, I think you're probably right.

I liked what I saw initially, but the trailer looks a lot better in 1080 format. We've got a ripper on our hands, folks. There's a variety of action that looks to be executed and filmed well. Craig is excellent, as usual. As for not having 'money shots', they didn't appear until the second CR trailer.
  • StrangewaysStrangeways London, UKPosts: 1,469MI6 Agent
I agree that the look of the movie is great. Love the blues of the ocean in the boat scenes and the blue skies when Craig is in the desert.

I have watched it about a dozen times now and can't stop thinking about it. Hope my boss doesn't catch me...I have so much on this week that clearly won't get done!

    What's 1080 format?
  • bluemanblueman PDXPosts: 1,667MI6 Agent
Haven't seen it yet, gotta wait till I get home. But I thought that quick shot in the previously released clip of the motorcycle jump from the impossible POV of right behind the shoulder was a better "money shot" than the CR car roll, if only cuz of the impossible nature of the QOS shot. The car rolling over a lot was cool, but the moving-camera POV tracking of a stunt is cooler.

Anyhoo, looking forward to seeing the darn thing, seems lots of fans on other boards are pretty turned on by it. Woo hoo, Bond is back!
