Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson wants to be a villian in a Bond film.

I dont think he'll make a good villian, to strong he more henchmen I say.

    He's a big, charismatic guy, and nowhere near as bad as some people would have you believe. As a main villain? I don't think so. But I'd have no problem seeing him in a more minor role.

    I love The Rock and I think it would be great to see him in a Bond film, but not as a villain. I think he's too much of a nice guy to play a villain, and I wouldn't want him to anyway. If he's going to be in an action film or a thriller, I would much rather him play the hero rather the villain. Since he can't play the hero in a Bond film, I would settle for him to play a supporting role, as long as it is not the villain.

    I'd like to see him get a shot as a baddie---it would be an excellent way to test his acting chops.

    Physically, he's naturally more suited to be a deadly henchman at the moment; you can't have a physique like that and not use it. If he played the main villain, it would be a climactic battle for the ages B-)

    I doubt it would ever happen, though...

    Dwayne Johnson actually isn't a bad actor at all. He comes across as very intelligent and well-spoken. I could think of worse things.

    Normally, having a former pro wrestler in a movie is the kiss of death, but The Rock is different. He's a very charismatic, well spoken man and based on the films he's been in it's clear that he can both act and handle any physical requirements a role would demand. As a henchman, he'd make a great foil for Bond.

    And besides, The Rock already has a Bond connection. His grandfather, the late pro wrestler "High Chief" Peter Maivia was the Japanese assassin that Bond fought in Osato's office in YOLT after Henderson was killed.

    Can't stand the guy. Don't know why, I just don't like him. And he wouldn't make a good villain either - but I DO think he would be a good henchman...

    Earlier in this thread, I rejected the idea of his playing a villain as IMO he's too much of a nice guy. I still don't think it would be a great idea, for that very reason, but I am a big fan of his and I would interested to see what he can make with such a role. It wouldn't be my preference, but I wouldn't complain.
