Miranda Otto, IDK but it would be hard to find a place for her. She is a talented Aussie actress and I would hate to see her wasted on an empty Bond girl role. If the Moneypenny role wasn't so small I could see her shine there. She has a 'Moneypenny' look about her. Maybe it's the reddish hair!
Similar to Miley Cyrus' Vanity Fair photoshoot there's a scene from The Living Daylights where James Bond stipped General Pushkin's GF Rubavitch (Virginia Hey) clothes off. One guy briefly saw her undressed. But Bond tells her to run quickly to the loo to dress up.
Jorgem, while I'm not as horrified as Sir Hillary, I do think that the idea of having as a Bond girl someone as young as Miley Cyrus is, to say the least, a little creepy. In five years time, perhaps, however to be perfectly honest, I don't find her to be all that attractive.
"He’s a man way out there in the blue, riding on a smile and a shoeshine. And when they start not smiling back—that’s an earthquake. and then you get yourself a couple of spots on your hat, and you’re finished. Nobody dast blame this man. A salesman is got to dream, boy. It comes with the territory." Death of a Salesman

Have you ever heard of her song "See You Again"? At the end of the song there was some like a James Bond-like ending sound in it, which is similar to the James Bond Theme. Miley Cyrus' song "See You Again" has some espionage flavor in it. :007)
If Miley Cyrus is a Bond girl the film might as well be "Agent Humbert-Humbert-Seven in To Nymphette with Love." And people thought the age difference between Roger Moore and Tanya Roberts was creepy?!

I always thought that the creepy difference was twixt Roger and Lynn-Holly Johnston.

But Bond resists her precisely because she's too young. I don't understand why people have carped about the "age difference" since there's no relationship involved. The entire joke is that Bibi's a teenage girl who throws herself at Bond and he's old enough and wise enough to resist. Now the big gap between Moore and Roberts, whose characters DO get it on, ugh. . .

Lynn Holly-Johnson looks like teenage Hilary Duff. B-)
In 2003 there was a James Bond spoof film which was designed for teens is called Agent Cody Banks starring Frankie Muniz and Hilary Duff. Followed by Agent Cody Banks 2: Destination London along with Muniz and S Club 7's Hannah Spearitt. Anyone here saw one of those films?
2003 is the year where the teen stars were popular and broke out. (e.g. Amanda Bynes, Hilary Duff, Lindsay Lohan, Mandy Moore, The Olsen Twins, Raven-Symone and Brittany Snow.)
I haven't seen "The Black Balloon" or the two other movies she's been in, But Gemma Ward looks like a good candidate. In short, she is a supermodel who actually gets good reviews for the acting she does in films!
Her IMDB entry: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1801841/
But is she too modelish and skinny?
And I'm a fan of Craig, but her height ( 5' 10" (1.78 m) is too close for comfort to Craig's own height. Still, worth a look?

I dont usually re-activate old posts, however:
I'm always disappointed that Lynn Holly Johnson got saddled with a very poorly written role. She is a fairly good actress (I think she was Emmy nominated for something) and her agent advised her NOT to take the role precisely because it was a lolita-ish part. She was actually 22 when she made the film (23 when it came out) but at the time she looked much younger. In comparison to some of todays "teen" stars she looks very old. The age difference between her and Roger Moore in 1981 is closer than that between Moore and Tanya Roberts in 1985. On both occasions the script writers opted for Bond not to seduce / sleep with these girls (tho' he did by the end of AVTAK)
Incidently the youngest Bond girl is still Daniela Bianchi who was only 21 when she made FRWL. I never suspected that!
Regarding Hilary Duff in Agent Cody Banks, well she's a teen star and its a teen film (not a very good one and the sequel is worse, but it is better than Stormbringer which I hated). Having said that Hilary has actress potential. The one really good teen actress is Mandy Moore, who has a good range and makes interesting film choices, but I don't think she's right for Bond.
My personal recommendations right now are too numerous to list. I think it depends on the role. I agree Megan Fox would be quite sexy, and so would Jennifer Ellison if she could rid her Liverpool accent, Beyonce would be fun despite Goldmember, and given her recent exposure on Strictly Come Dancing, Ola Jordan wouldn't go a miss. Maybe she could whirl Daniel Craig around the dancefloor with a sexy salsa

Lynn Holly Johnson (now Givens) was just featured in an OC (Orange County) Register article on Bond girls. It is interesting. She is a Lutheran and member of a church in Laguna Hills I believe. One of my university professors blew me away one time by saying he'd once givn a sermon to a Bond girl.
I imagine he replaced his collar with a bow tie and his stoll for a gun holster :007)
Back to the article though - very interesting. Explains some of the dynamics between her character and Bond aye? It seems the producers would not have minded Bond getting with the young woman, only Given's (nee Johnson's) propriety kept Bond's hands off the property of that lady.

Now we are seeing twenty-somethings playing teenagers and behaving like a teen. (e.g a 28 year old actor playing a 16 year old.)
Amanda Bynes is one of them I think.
Back during DAD and Brosnan's Bond, it was Hilary Duff, Amanda Bynes, Lindsay Lohan and the Olsen Twins who were the popular teens and rocked the teen world. {[]
And now one of your favorite child stars are slowly transitioning into adult roles.
Rachel Nichols is an American actress best knowen for starring the final season of the tv show Alias, and the films like Charlie Wilson's War. She is currently going to be seen in both Star Trek and GI Joe: Rise of Cobrahttp://www.imdb.com/name/nm0629697/
A Korean-American actress best known for her four years as Ensign Hoshi Sato on Star Trek Enterprise. She's also a trained dancer and fight actor so she has a tough streak that's good. Sort of like a slightly custesier take on Michelle Yeoh.
I'm not suggesting her or anything like that, but Jennifer Aniston has been going around saying she'd like to be a Bond girl in the next movie. Here's a direct quote from a recent interview:
"I get offered funny, quirky, pretty roles," says the star, who will attend the London premiere of Marley & Me tonight. "I'd love to do an action movie. James Bond! Glamour! Daniel Craig ! S--t-loads of fun!"
While I don't know if she could handle the physical rigors of a Bond film, she would probably bring a lot of publicity to the part and is a proven and viable box office star in America.
Comments
Rachel Taylor, great in Transformers.
Olivia Wilde, seen primarily on the OC. (never watched it).
Delta Goodrem, Aussie singer... very hot.
Brooklyn Decker, Sports Illustrated model, and from my home state of Ohio.
Alina Vacariu, Romanian model, has done commercials

I second the previous mentioned, Megan Fox and Paz Vega. Rachel Taylor would be OK. Hopefully somebody with a body, not a bag of bones.

Looks to me to have been a good candidate for Agent Fields in QOS

I forgot to comment here. Yes, she would've made a good Agent Fields...although I believe Arterton pulled it off nicely.

Some of his girls (Bibi - FYEO) have been sugar daddy's) so I reckon it's time he got an older woman..............just my opinion!

Interesting choice Dan...
She's from my home town, and I wondered how many US-guys would have heard of her?...do you get Dr Who over there?..
Anyway, she does motherhood proud..

Again, I'm not endorsing, just reporting.
