Other future titles

Ok, seeing as Quantum Of Solace is being used for a Bond title, how likely do you think it will be that Risico, The Hildebrand Rarity, and The Property Of A Lady (the only three remaining Fleming titles) are used as film titles?

I think quite likely, but I dread the day of Risico...

007 In New York is another, but let's face it, that wont get the time of day :))

Wasn't the alternate title for the For Your Eyes Only novel called The Rough with the Smooth? Would that make a good title for a Bond movie?

I would have said that Quantum of Solace would never be a Bond film title. I am so wrong that I feel my opinion here is unimportant.

Having said all that, surely Risico is begging to be filmed?

I always expected to see Risico as a title long before they ever got to Quantum of Solace...as JSW says, shows what we know!

I have a fondness for a couple of chapter titles from YOLT: The Death Collector and Magic 44.

The Property Of A Lady wins my vote, but as Loeff says there are a lot of good chapter titles, not to mention Fleming's discards. Just as long as they don't use You Asked Fot It or Too Hot To Handle! :))

I'm fine with Property of a Lady and Risico. I would not be surprised to see 'Property' next since it would fit into the current style of having the title make the diagonal 007 logo. Anything Fleming that is used is fine with me. Once short story titles are gone just move on to chapters. As has already been stated there are some great ones.

I personally like Risico and hopeit will get 23.
On the other hand, property of a lady is IMO completely awful.

:)) That title would be perfectly appropiate if the film was of the quality of AVTAK, TLD or DAD. :v

Jorgem, perhaps it's just me, but I would prefer that the title not be an acronym. ;)

Well with the need for the title to include 007 in it how about SHOOT TO KIll. Then they can make the 007.
Bond: You don't think I enjoyed what we did this evening, do you? What I did tonight was for King and country! You don't think it gave me any pleasure, do you?

I would recommend "The Property Of a Lady" to the next Bond action story. I write stories and I also have that story's clear synopsis. I have thought that maybe I should write "TPOAL" to myself just like that story should be. Of course I can't publish it but...to myself :)

I think that with some fresh thoughts and touches TPOAL could be a very nice last story (hopefully, even Craig really IS good) to Daniel Craig :)

As many people are aware that Property of a Lady is an Ian Fleming story, the title works fine--for them. But to the much larger non-Bond fan audience, the title sounds more like a Merchant Ivory period romance movie than a James Bond movie.

And like many people, I do not want the title to contain the words Kill, Die,or Gold

Yup, not one I'd have thought filmable- The Property Of A Lady is just slightly more commercial.
