I'm afraid I pre date the films and some of the novels.
In fact out of the novels the following still hadn't been written by Fleming:
For Your Eyes Only
Thunderball
The Spy Who Loved Me
On Her Majesties Secret Service
You Only Live Twice
The Man With The Golden Gun
Octopussy and The Living Daylights
Sean Connery was James Bond and my elder brother took me to see the double header of Goldinger/Thunderball in 1965/1966ish, I was 8 or 9 years of age.
for those who were alive between 1954 and 1962, were fans worrying why they hadn't heard any rumours or announcements yet about when Barry Nelson would be making the next film?
Thanks to the experts on this forum, I now know I was born on one of those rare times when the role was legitimately vacant. Lazenby had walked, and Connery would not sign for DAF for several months.

87 here. My best memories are watching SC with my Dad along with various Spaghetti Westerns and "Shane" on a constant loop. We saw all of Pierce Brosnan's films together in theaters. Some might have been objectively terrible but despite the actual movies it was wonderful. It is terribly sentimental but I hope this tradition can be passed on to my children.
Youngest one here...a year before Die Another Day. At least The World Is Not Enough was the last one in people's minds back then.
I remember as a child watching Tomorrow Never Dies and my father had bought the Collector's Edition DVD of Casino Royale when it had been released.
Favourite Bond? Well, Lazenby and Brosnan fall short...even if I obviously enjoy their movies.
By the Book: Connery or Dalton
Cinematic: Moore, no question
It's sad how little people my age appreciate the Bond films. Oh well... I guess good taste is getting thinner and thinner amongst people these days...
I'm born in 71, so I guess both Connery and Moore were Bond then. The TV channel never showed any Bond movies, so I didn't see any until VCR's came. I don't remember my parents taking us to the cinema, so I think LTK was the first Bond seen on the big screen.

Moore was a Persuader in 1971, so you're pure Connery!
I was born in 1954, so I guess it was Barry Nelson.....however, my brothers snuck me in the theatre in Memphis to see Dr No....Summer of 1963, so I had just finished 3rd grade heading to the 4th...

I grew up in the Dalton and Brosnan eras, so of course I have a nostalgic feeling associated with those two, but Roger was the one that really clicked for me as Bond. Firstly, he looks exactly like the original Bond sketch by Fleming, and secondly, he truly embodied the Don Juan nature of Bond, and thus embodied the nature of Fleming himself. Nobody was about the pussy like Roger, because nobody does it better.
No one, okay? No one was James Bond when I was born! Yes, I'm THAT old! I was two when Dr. No came out and my dumb parents neglected to take me to see it! )

Oh...wow...you look at least 15 years younger than you are in that case....

When I was born (1990) technically Dalton was still Bond, but to this day I haven't watched his movies in full yet. I think my first Bond movie was either Goldfinger or Goldeneye. I wish I could remember. It's so long ago now. I saw it around 1999 or 2000.
I think Brosnan or Daniel.
I was born in 2004.
I am 13
Craig wasn't cast as Bond until 2005. Brosnan is most likely your Bond, considering you would have been born in the first half of 2004 before Brosnan was fired.

While OP was the first Bond I saw, it's TLD that transformed me into a fan of the franchise.

Some of you were born when Roger Moore was Bond (1972-1985).
Remember that Timothy Dalton was Bond when I was born, 1986 that is!
Timothy Dalton is my #1 favorite Bond actor and Roger Moore #2. Sean Connery is my #3 favorite.

However, the first Bond I saw on the big screen was Connery, in NSNA.
