I was wondering if anyone knows where I could find a metal asthma inhaler like the one that Le Chiffre used? I thought I saw one on ajb.

Ask any asthma patient for an empty. Brochitis patients are another good target.

The screen-used prop is likely just sprayed chrome, so I'm told. I've got one in the works.

I've also got a few empties.

as I said check my website in the daniel craig section I already have one remember the mouth peice is black ... mines is an exact replica to the film ... its not as easy as you think to modify one of these inhalers its not just a case of spraying it a colour.

well I tell you what once you get one email me and Ill draw up some instructions photos and plans for how to do it wand the correct paint and bits list etc.

Actually the screen used one is very different from the version on your site, the sides and front are scalloped and the whole thing is custom machined from aluminium with a completely different bodyshape. Bad picture, but you can see it better in quite a few scenes if you have blu-ray. You can clearly see that it is alu when Bond slips the 'bug' in. I think four were made by the props department.

Note the more rounded, mouthpiece and angles on the body itself.

They were cast but replicated off a real inhaler...not scalloped though...that is the reflection of the "lips" as they say in the OP biz.

I did'nt mean that exactly, perhaps scalloped is'nt the best description, er.. more swept, less blocky, no that does'nt work either. Time to find more pics

tapered, that's the word. The head (that's so not the right word) is a little larger and more curved like the ones that you get in France. The French eh, even make inhalers look sexier than the norm

Thes tuff that turned up in some of the other sections was interesting though. I liked your tips on DIY prop making...as a model kit builder I have suggested very much the same things to people who have asked me for some tips.

trust me I have seen many a behind the scenes photos and analysed the prop before making it mines was made from the same model of inhaler aboce.. I polished off the Loogo and name... etc

trust me its the same item as Mantis explained.

My site is due for an update And I am uaking away the sections like film stripes and its going to be more like the Mantis website in terms of each page being the same as in scroll down... I have went onto my site from defferent computers and found that not all have the means of playing the film strip set up... so a less advanced set up is required to allow every one to access the props...

I'm a professionally qualified photographer and know a little about light and optics - the 'scalloping' you 'see' there is just reflections.

About the cap though - are you sure it's not dark metallic grey/black?

I am fairly confided its shinny black plastic....

a tip which might pay off is look for photos of it on display at the casino royale omega exhibition I know it was there someone might have a few different close ups... I am sure its in the Bond on set casino royale book.... I love that book some great photos.

do any of u guys know where i can get one ? it has to be the real thing
i cant just spray paint one myself . i need the real mental one

This has been extensively researched by members of this board and the 'real thing' does not exist commercially. It was a prop made for the movie. It may have been made in metal by the prop department, but was a one off. If you REALLY need the real deal then I suggest that you either contact a good silversmith or you could even try Russ at http://www.rbreplicas.com/index.php BUT and this is a big BUT, you won't get it next weak and it will be extremely costly.

a REAL platinum inhaler........

your surname wouldn't be 'croft' would it?

at the moment, platinum alloy is roughly £2.50 per gram to get cast, plus tooling and pattern and mould making of course.

real pure platinum is roughly £8.80 for 9ct, £22.50 for 22ct
