Seiko 0674-5009 and 0674-5008

Hi,
What's the difference between the two? I can't find any difference at all.
And wich model was actually used for the James Bond movie the spy who loved me?
Greetz,
Pol

Supposedly it's the 008 model, but I can't see no difference between it and the 009 model. Perhaps someone else can enlighten us??:)

Eh, oops, that might have been a spelling mistake by me actually. Not sure if the 5008 even exists...

I know now where I got it from. A picture I had of the back of the watch:

Looked like an 8 to me at first, but it's probably a 9.

That makes more sense. I always see the 009 model, but never the 008.

    Hello!

I'm Thomas from Stuttgart/Germany and new in this board, hello!

I'm interested in Bond watches and especially Bond Seikos for years. Maybe someone is interested in some details about the great Seiko 0674. I'm looking for this watch for years now and bought some of them. Some are gone again, I only have one left: A 0674-5009 in great condition. :)

As far as I know, there are only 2 versions of the Seiko 0674:

    1. Seiko 0674-5009 - The watch from the Bond movie!

    http://homepage.mac.com/utdesign/watch/watches/007.html

    2. Seiko 0674-5000 - Not in the movie!

    http://himawari.sakura.ne.jp/~garaken/JW/SEI-O9.htm

The differences are the bracelet and the additional writing "LIGHT SET" and "MODE SET" on the face of the watch. On the 0674-5009 (the Bond watch) there should only be "SEIKO QUARZ LC".

I only know this 2 differences between the 2 watches. And I have never seen another model except for 5000 and 5009. In my opinion, a 5008 isn't existing!

    I hope this helps!

    Best regards, Thomas
