travel advice for a friend

He's doing a study abroad in London next year (I plan on doing the same thing in a few years) and he was wondering if I knew of any good restauraunts/spots to hang out. I told him I'd ask around. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know! All suggestions are greatly appriciated!

That's a very, very general question Pen with an unlimited number of answers! London is a city of over 7.5 million people spread into 32 boroughs, which each have their own social scenes. If he had an idea of where he was living in London it would probably narrow it down as the place has more restaurants and bars for every theme, taste, price range and walk of life than you can shake a stick at. He could end up living an hour from them if they're not in the City of London (itself tiny in geographical area) or the City of Westminster, which are in the heart of the capital.

I'd go along with lady rose on this toots list is top notch.

also I know its tacky but waxy o'conner's just off leicester square is a huge irish theme pub with three or floors that has a tree growing through the middle of it!
