The jacket with the collar up is made by Tom Ford and is a wonderful jacket. I say this because my brothers girlfriend's mother works at the James Bond Archive in London and kindly gave the jacket to my brother, who threw it my way - complete with very long arms!! I'm sure their were many of the same jackets so whether it was actually worn by Daniel Craig is debatable, nevertheless pretty cool all the same eh?

Thinking of selling it but morally not sure if it's a good idea, especially seeing as I have no proof of the above

That is VERY cool and you are a very lucky gent. Any signs on the jacket on style number, sku's etc?

Wonder if this is someting Ford will carry since they do not sell casual jackets like this currently.

Excellent stuff, massive thanks for posting that {[]

Another one to tick off the list B-)

Any chance you could post some pics of the jacket as well as the labels?

It's really cool I agree, I had been searching the net to find some Bond experts and I found you all quite easily.

Going to post some pictures hopefully tomorrow. I've been speaking to a member on this site and I can't seem to find a style #. I've asked someone in the fashion business who has suggested it might not have one because it either has never gone into commercial production and/or hasn't yet or it was simply a one off design for the film.

Its possible that its not been made commercially, but sometimes costumers cut teh lables out also.

It has one label in the lower-inside breast pocket with the following information

    Size 52
    Fabric - 100% cotton
    Body Lining - 55% Cupro
    45% Cotton
    Sleeve Lining:
    100% Bemberg Viscose
    Made in Italy

It also has the sort of diamond shape Tom Ford embroidery too.

A relative had a look at it (someone whos a stitching fanatic!) and suggested the stitching looked as if it has had alterations made to it

so, the guy who have the jacket diasappear, he suppose to post some pictures.
Maybe someone can try to contact tom ford himself to ask him if he did the black jacket and the dark blue jacket, and if he can release the jackets because i think there is a lot of people who wants the jackets.

Any new info on either of the jackets? so far i found the best sub for the dark blue collar up jacket is the baracuda G4 model.

This jacket looks a bit too "golf club", old man, for my taste.;)

It appears to that there is only 1 jacket in QOS and it is Blue.

I think that having the collar up vs down, clean vs dirty, dark vs sunlight is making the appearance of 2 jackets.

The prior pics show him in the same blue sunspel shirt indicating it is probably from the same scene in the movie.

    Just my 2 cents.

As Mantis has already said - there are 2 jackets one black, one blue.

The collar up style jacket is worn with the indigo jeans and the collar down style is worn with the white Levis. Both seem to be worn with the Sunspel polo.

Aside from that the collars are completely different anyway.

    I beg to differ:

    and also this

I am sorry and do not mean to argue with what Mantis stated earlier but they all appear to be blue. I also would not be surprised if they are the same jacket only varied collar position.

i totally agree with the mantis that there are in fact two different jackets, one black and one dark navy, the black one is worn with the white pants and has a totally different collar then the blue one.

    007craig2spl468x640ns4.th.jpg

and the other one is paired with the blue jeans and appears to be dark navy as oppose to black and has a much different collar. (and you could state that maybe the collar is just flipped up but on the jacket below the collar length would go past the zipper)

With all respect, there are that many Quantum pictures out now, that whether there's 2 jackets or not isn't a valid question any longer it's a fact. Even if you choose to ignore what Mantis and others have said, you can actually SEE they are different jackets.

The question now is who made them.

    All the best

my best guess is that possibly Tom Ford made them or they are custom baracuda jackets

Please do not ask me any more details around this but I PROMISE you they are two different jackets. Even if you disagree with me on color, they have entirely different zippers, the dark blue jacket with Tom Fird Zippers coated in leather and the black jacket does not have the coated zippers. I could go on and on from there. The fit is also different, with the sleeves on the blue TF jacket being longer (there is a reason for this) and the black jacket being fir tighter. Not trying to win an arguement here but just helping with facts around some assumptions.

I am sure as time goes on there will be some interesting discoveries regarding this movie.

Mr. Mantis, I stand corrected on 2 jackets but can not concede color yet. But agree with you totally as more information and photos make it out, the more we will have a clearer picture.

I think DC wear 3 jackets.
When he is in the dessert, he wear the black jacket.
When he wear white trousers, he wear a navy jacket.
When he phone to anything, he wear another different navy jacket. You can see, this third jacket have buttons in the pocket and the collar is different.
Then I think there are tree jackets.

    B-)

I would never want this conversation to end because I love spitited talk like this...besides, it is fun!

BUT, the jacket that is all torn up that you see him wearing in the desert and the one that looks all "pretty like" when he is on the phone and talking to Felix in the bar is the same NAVY or Midnight Blue jacket made by Tom Ford. This has been confirmed...

The black or whatever color jacket it is that Bond wears with the white jeans seems to be a different one than the desert/bar one for many reasons.

BTW, I do not have the script but I have a STRONG suspicion that the NAVY jacket he wears in the bar/desert is something he "acquires" from someone or someplace. B-)

So the person Bond acquires it from also has an intereest in the high-fashion of Tom Ford...;)

From what I have seen he wears two jackets, one navy, one black. The black jacket is very similar to a harrington jacket and jackets similar in style to this one are very common on the high street at the moment.
  • Commander KellCommander Kell Posts: 10MI6 Agent
Actually the Harrington (Baracuta style collar) is the blue one (desert & phone).
The black one with a regular (James Dean)collar is the one worn with white jeans.
