Here is a good pic posted by a fellow reader, pwalsh9012.

The biggest difference from this jacket and the classic Harrington is the sleaves, inside Tartan lining and the pocket. Classic Harrington appears to have a flap pocket and the sleaves are elastic.

To me this picture shows the jacket to be made of almost a swade rather the cotton or polyester. What do u think?

The good think is that if all else fails to track this down, I am sure that our good friend Magnoli could make it dead on.

Nice alternative to the other Harrington style jacket. It is blue rather then those who want black.

Believe it or not, I almost found a good alternative yesterday for the Tom Ford Blue Desert jacket in TARGET with their Converse line. I spotted a dark blue cotten jacket which had a collar and sleeves that were very close. Some things that through it off were the shoulder line and the waist...but I may have another closer look later in the week.

Excellent picture - loads of detail. Which will make it even more frustrating for those who want it to be JUST right. Two way zip, and yes, it appears to be suede.

Suede? Not sure about that......I really think it's Waxed Cotton.

The jacket in teh attached picture has already been confirmed to be TOM FORD, its acctually dark blue and it was custom made for the movie. they had one similar in their store in black with a brown leather lined collar and teh back was different.

Yes, but wrongly accompanied by a photo of the Blue Tom Ford jacket.

The Blue Jacket has been confirmed by Louise Frogley - to me personally - as Tom Ford. Plus Someone I know and trust totally owns one of the film used ones.

This jacket has been nailed down 100% for some time

The Y-3 is the black jacket with the collar down.

    Don't be so condescending!!!

    I'll wait for further proof.

I wasn't being condescending in the slightest. Simply referring to previous posts that states this. Plus my own research alongside the brilliant work of The Mantis and SRuzgar.

I've spent a long time putting together an article on the wardrobe of QoS - during which alongside the above chaps - I've had help from the actual suppliers as well as Louise Frogley - The films costume designer and initially EON and Sony.

No need to take my word for it, the blue jacket IS Tom Ford - fact.

The article will be received, finally, by Bond Lifestyle today or tomorrow. Was meant to have been submitted quite a few days ago, but due to ill health and an injury (never rains but it pours) it wasn't completed in time

I too know the friend that Duncan is referring to who owns a few pieces...and the Blue desert jacket is a TF, you can eveb see the TF on the zipper fobs. The balck jacket he wears with the white jeans is most likely the y-3. But the TF matters not as they don't sell them, though had one in brown for a mere $2500....{[]

Although, strictly speaking, not a lot has been spilled :p

Been trying to save that for the article. In which, suits, ties, shoes, boots, jeans, coats, accessories etc etc, plus the frustrating route to get there will be revealed.

The underpants and socks you'll have to sort out for yourself - hehe B-)

Sunspel or M&S, both very nice and comfortable :007)

    Chaps,

Had a look round the shops at the weeknd, if ou are in the UK then Debenhams has some good jackets that roughly fit the ebill, Crombie has a couple of great Harringtons with BLACK lining, rather than that Bay City Rollers Tartan nonsense.

If you look at this link to Baracutas website
and check the notepad, doesn't it say James Bond as a famous person to wear it? When does he wear a baracuta?
