Guys, just be patient. You've seen the prototypes, we know its now in production... you'll be able to order soon.
I'll be sending a PM to everyone who's committed to order to let them know when the ties are ready, so you don't need to check this thread or Magnoli's site religiously (if you'd prefer not to ).
That's a pretty insane deal imo... my better woven ties run $90 and I just ordered the TWINE Bilbao herringbone tie from Turnbull & Asser for $150. $55 for a woven silk tie that is highly faithful to the Hemming-designed screen originals (which are also now no longer available) is great.
Unless these ties turn out to be utter crap (which has been contraindicated from everything to the prototype pics to my communications with Magnoli), I see no reason NOT to jump on this bandwagon unless you really hate the design of these ties to begin with.
Could anyone make an image compilation of all the other ties (Brosnan era) so we can look at them side by side and start a poll of some sort to see what people might want to do next?
Does anyone know if these are available yet?
I keep checking but nothing appears on the Mangoli site. I am really losing my patience with this project now
Asp's post was in error (I think he was mistakenly referring to the Madasgascar project). Refer to my last post (on 5/27) in which I said Magnoli indicated it would take about two weeks. Therefore I expect to hear some news in the coming days.
I know a lot of you are anxious, but looking down the tracks won't make the train come any faster. It will get here when it gets here, which we know is soon!
Each tie is $60 (includes shipping)... it is $5 more than had been initially quoted, but Indy told me the ties cost more to produce than he had initially anticipated and there was also the cost of developing a prototype to ensure all the details we wanted would be correct.
These ties come from the Lindy Hemming commissioned designs for the Turnbull & Asser ties Pierce Brosnan wears in TND and TWINE. These ties are out-of-print and no longer available from T&A. The Magnoli renditions are handmade from 100% woven silk, with a double tie loop stitched from a piece of the tie fabric on the back side (just like on a T&A tie).
Please note these ties are part of a limited run and as such will not be available indefinitely from Magnoli. Nor is a future run guaranteed unless there is sufficient demand again! Don't hesitate!
Please be sure to write a review on Magnoli's page after receiving your tie! I assure you Magnoli is not making a killing selling these ties and anything we can do to show our appreciation for his hard work (and spur sales!) would go a long way.
And of course, also post about it here once you get it!
Hope everyone enjoys theirs... it's been almost 10 years for me, but worth the wait... -{

I just bought a lovely new blue suit (TND, CR, etc) and am not gonna wear it until I get the ties!
Also picked up the Bahamas arrival trousers.
Looking good for the summer now!
Please put my nick on your list.
Thanks in advance.
For which tie?
Thanks,
Chris

I too have a new suit (Gieves & Hawkes) that is begging for one of these ties.
They do look superb. As an owner and daily wearer of the originals, I very highly recommend these ties {[]

The one I would love to have is the One with blue circles from DAD...
