Just out of interest does anyone use twitter?

Would anyone want to submit bits to an ajb007 twitter feed from the site?

Just ideas for some interactivity... Not necessarily good ideas mind! ;)

Just so you get some feedback on your question Si, I can tell you I have no idea what twitter is and I am thinking I may not be alone in that.

You are not alone. ;) Granted, I'm not the most computer literate person out there, but this is definitely something I have never heard of.

My understanding is that Twitter is a free social networking service which lets you send small messages to a main site which can then feed it out to various devices like other PC's, PDA's, etc. By subscribing to the service and getting it to interface with your devices, one could theoretically post a short blurb to AJB, which would then feed it to the main Twitter site and from there to anyone who's Twitter account has subscribed to AJB so that you could get your AJB fix even while on the go.

At least, I think that's how it works. I've never used the site myself (even as a former IT guy, I have a hard time keeping up with technology these days) but if you're interested you can read about it at wikipedia.com or go to their main site, twitter.com

Pretty spot on TonyDP. The fact that no one really knows what it is answers my immediate question.

If you are interested the site is http://www.twitter.com/ it's a bit like Facebook but with less of the 'stuff'! It's what they term microblogging I believe.

The idea would be to create communities with in communities really and bring people together, but it's just a preliminary question testing the waters!
