Gauging Interest in Goldfinger Tie

Hey folks,
As a lot of you know we've had two very exciting tie projects going on in collaboration with Magnoli - the diamond tie from TND and the Q-boat chase tie from TWINE. Those ties have now finished production and are now available to order (details in other thread).

Recently Magnoli dropped me a line asking me to see if there would be any interest here for the black tie seen in Goldfinger. He already has a prototype finished:

Provided enough people are interested, he could go right into production and the ties would be available in a few weeks.

Anyways, if you folks are interested post here and Magnoli can see if there is enough interest to make a batch. :)

This sounds like a great idea but I would point out as well that both JCrew and Ralph Lauren (Polo and Black Label) make knitted silk ties which are virtually 100% screen accurate to the Connery knit ties. They come in a variety of colors and are 2" wide, which is perfect for that 60's look. The JCrew and Polo ties are about $50 as well, with the RL Black Label that I have seen being a little more (presumably for the name).

Another note: I watched the Ultimate Edition of Goldfinger recently. The color and image restoration is amazing. Bond's suiting benefits a lot from this. I noticed a lot of new things. While on the subject of the Goldfinger ties I thought I would give a synopsis.

PTS: slim grosgrain bowtie w/ dinner jacket

M's office: green knit tie w/ charcoal 3-piece suit (never noticed this green before Ultimate edition)

Q-branch: blue knit tie w/ blue suit

After golfing/ tracking Goldfinger in Switzerland: brown knit tie w/ tweed jacket

Goldfinger’s jet/ horse ranch: blue knit tie again w/ grey 3-piece suit

Fort Knox: black knit tie w/ charcoal suit

I seem to recall knitted ties in other Connery movies (possibly someone can elaborate), but in Goldfinger Bond seems to only wear these. One other note, the knit ties featured in the movie all seem to have a flat, not pointed bottom. This is probably a lot more detail then needed, but then again we know the attention to detail people pay on this forum.

Indy messaged me to say he wants to do a run of these ties (in conjunction with the Goldeneye tie).

Could anyone provide some detailed images for Indy? In particular he wants to confirm the detail about the flat vs. pointed bottom.
