    Current tally:
    GE Tank - 11
    TND Copper - 8
    DAD red - 6
    GE Arrival - 5
    DAD blue tie - 5
    TWINE pipeline - 5
    TWINE promo - 4

One more vote for the tank tie and that's it, unless something else catches up! :)

Brioni ties are pretty expensive... don't most average for about $175? That's even more than T&A. Then again their line is less gaudy ;)
  • Monza860Monza860 USPosts: 501MI6 Agent
Yeah between $175 to 200 plus. To tell you the truth i dont really care for their ties, they were really bland. I will stick with T&A for shirts and ties, great products, service, friendly and ever so slighty cheaper. Does anyone know how much there suits cost off the rack?

Just off the top of my head.... two, right? The one on the train, and the one during the ride to the hotel (which I believe is also worn in the final scene?) Anyone know for sure?

Wasn't the tie that Craig wore at the end of CR (three piece suit) made by Ted Baker? I think I remember hearing that it was called the "Sabal" tie. I could be wrong, though.

    EDIT:
Also, seeing how you're going forward with the GE tank tie, my next two choices would be: GE arrival, and DAD circles.

I know the GE Tank Tie has been chosen, but if any more replica ties are made, I would choose:

    1) DAD Circles
    2) TWINE Pipeline

As per my reply on a similar thread, I'll gladly sign up for replicas of all Brosnan era ties - not picky about which ones first, so happy to agree with Melancholy Echos' choices!

There seems to be a lull on the site about any tie projects. I was wondering what ever happened to the GE arrival tie. Was this a "no go" on the project?

Is there no love for the tie Brosnan wore during his meeting with M? I've always liked that ensemble.

I've seen the tie, but never a good enough shot to actually show the fabric weave.

In general I also really felt that tie never worked, at least not with the rest of the outfit. It seemed like Hemming wanted to do a tribute to the Connery clothing with a subtle glencheck patterned gray suit and white shirt, but the blue and gold/yellow tie is just all sorts of wrong imo...

I've got most the Magnoli Bond tie and can't wait for the next one... whichever one it is...
    Again my choices would be:
    1. CR red rain tie
    2. DAD blue circles tie
    3. TWINE red pipeline tie
Does anyone know what are the tie projects that Magnoli is currently working on?
  • nms75nms75 United KingdomPosts: 1,233MI6 Agent
The CR train tie would be my choice for the next tie from Magnoli :)

Believe it or not, I think I'd like to see the CR or Quantum polo.

It is near impossible to find a nice fitted polo...it's almost baffling. If I could pick up a MTM polo from magnoli for a reasonable price, I think it'd be great.

This thread is about ties not polos :)) :p

But yes, I agree a fitted polo from Magnoli would be great too.

I realized it after it was too late :))

Groggy morning posts....I clearly couldn't even read the title!

As for the ties, I happen to like the Craig era accessories. A bit more understated...that's my personal taste. Do you guys think we can give magnoli a rest on the ties for a little while and let him work up a polo, though? I think I'm overloaded on neckties for now... :)
  • saint-antoinesaint-antoine CanadaPosts: 209MI6 Agent
A Craig era polo exists... it's made by Sunspel, it's great and it's the real McCoy. If it is not fitted enough for you, go to the tailor's with it and have it fixed to your specs and let Magnoli work on things that are not already available in the market like the Bond ties which is the topic of this thread. So please let's get back to talking about ties and start a different topic if you are into fitted polos.
I just purchased a dark grey with light blue pinstripes suit and would love to wear it with the DAD blue tie with circles. So once again, here are my choices for tie projects for Magnoli:
    1. CR red rain tie
    2. DAD blue circles tie
    3. TWINE red pipeline tie
I understand the red pipeline tie is already in the works... but what's next?
    Anyone know?
By the way, I wore the blue grid tie from the Greene party scene with a navy suit at work today and got all kinds of compliments on it... well done Magnoli!

To which Magnoli tie are you referring to? I didn't know Magnoli produced a replica of the tie worn at Greene's party in Bolivia!?

    NMS ?:)

First and foremost, leave your attitude at the door.

Secondly, I'm well aware of the Sunspel polo. Furthermore, not only is it difficult to acquire in any country, it's even more difficult to acquire in the US.

Finally, the Sunspel polos start at a 38 chest. A lot of men are slimmer with smaller chests; good luck finding a tailor who will do major surgery on a polo. Adjusting the shoulder measurements, shortening the sleeves, the length, the fit.... It's not going to happen.

Basically, I don't see why you need to be in such a pissy mood for suggesting something other than tie, which, by the way, there are many of.

And, if you'd take the time to actually read my latter post, you'd see my response to another comment that would have answered your questions and given you a second to think before you made such a rude post.

Manners hard to come by around here?
  • saint-antoinesaint-antoine CanadaPosts: 209MI6 Agent
Again, if you are interested in polos, I invite you to start a thread on that... which I would not read since the polo situation seems well covered it seems to me because of the existence of the Sunspel polo (which is available online on their website and has been for 2 years now). This thread is about TIES which is no less interesting because there are many of! If this was the case, I do not think that Magnoli would carry about 6-7 Bond tie. He most likely carries so many Bond ties because they sell and they sell because us fans are interested in as many quality Bond ties has Magnoli can make available to us. Since the title for this topic is "Poll for the next tie project" I suggest to you that you should accept that you are in the wrong place to discuss polos here and should not be suprised to find people interested in ties in this thread since it is after all a tie thread. So once again, here are my choices for next tie projects for Magnoli:
    1. CR red rain tie
    2. DAD blue circles tie
    3. TWINE red pipeline tie

Anyone TIE interested Bond fans know?
  • urhashurhash USPosts: 986MI6 Agent
I might initiate the process to get the DAD blue circle tie going. I have what I need to get that going with Magnoli, whereas the pipeline tie is a bit of a headache right now...
  • saint-antoinesaint-antoine CanadaPosts: 209MI6 Agent
Great news urhash... count me in for one... that tie is one of my all time Bond favorites. Any timetable for that project?
