P.S. My wife HATES Colin Farell? How are the ladies here feeling about him?

well hate is a very strong word.... but I don't like him either..... or Brad Pitt.... or George Clooney.

    Really!

Ditto !!!! Can't bear Farell and Pitt and Clooney ( especially Clooney ) leave me cold. At least with Pitt and Clooney I can see why women would like them but Farrell ????? :s Always looks like he needs a good bath IMO.

I love George Clooney, though. Love him :D

:)) :)) I would love to see thier faces, when George, Brad and Colin try and gate crash the 'Ultimate Bond date night' - when we basically say - "Nahh, no thanks boys, we're sorted!"

:)) Bet that's never happened to them before - and NO Ale, you can't take exception and allow Colin and George on board...... they are to be left.... scratching their heads, wondering why.... ;)

I already did! I am super, super happy for Henry Cavill of course. {[] And I am super, SUPER furious as a Bond fan! They let the best prospects slip by. And I'll leave it at that. Babs better NEVER cross paths with me X-( Of course Henry could make a Superman miracle and be Superman and Bond at the same time. Though, at this point, if he took over for Bond 25... it may still happen LOL. NO I do NOT give up :))

LMAO I would not let Clooney intrude, or Farrell for that matter :)) They WOULD be left out of our perfect Bond girl date. Henry Cavill trumps BOTH of them, and big time!!

I was just musing over on the comic book thread about whether you'd heard this, my dear...It might well take him off the list of future Bonds. He was nearly cast as the Man of Steel last time...

Henry Cavill probably wasn't the best fit for Batman or Bond. But he's perfect for Superman. Although, he's a few inches shorter than the past actors. Still, I can't wait especially since the director is good with comic stuff. Now, they need to find an elegant Lois Lane.

Those Charlie's Angels picks are all misses. Except for Rachael Taylor. But I've only seen her in Transformers and that poor Asian horror remake. Minka Kelly is almost the definition of slighty above average even though I've yet to see her act. I find Camilla Belle far more attractive. She could be an awesome Bond girl in another 5-7 years.

I completely disagree Henry Cavill isn't the best fit for Bond. He still is, and I see absolutely nobody around who would be as perfect as he is for the role.

Loeffs darling, I thought he would be out for Bond but I have been told by very well informed people in Hollywood that it's quite the opposite at this point, that Superman actually improves his chances rather than diminishing them.

I doubt he's way shorter than previous people given he's 6 ft 1. Unless they used basketball players, I can't think they were all that much taller than him.

Totally disagree on Minka Kelly, too. She is drop dead gorgeous IMO and I have seen her act since I am a big fan of Friday Night Lights. I loved her character on FNL, and again, I think she is way, way above average. I certainly deem her more beautiful than Rachael Taylor who is your average blonde American. She is certainly pretty, but nowhere near Minka Kelly level of gorgeous IMO.

Rather than me, it's them being right :)) But yeah, heard from quite a few people in the know. Things are not the way they used to be anymore. Just like Craig is in two franchises, to have a younger and closer to Cavill example, Chris Pine is doing both Star Trek and Jack Ryan... And Superman is something so out there and so entirely different from Bond, that the two things really don't have any way of colliding. Besides, what I've been told is that especially given the financial situation if Cavill is successful with his two movies this year not to mention Superman, they will actually be desperate to get him quickly... there aren't many young actors around that can carry a franchise like Bond, and even less that fit the requirements. Long story short, he isn't out of the running at all, quite the opposite. :D

    We'll see what happens :D

And, thank you for worrying about me my dear.. both you and blueman! You're so sweet :x

But gotta say great spot Lexi..... Patrick Jain is one of those amazing characters that even guys love - so cool and erudite yet the humility when he's proven wrong or the challenge of red John - but enough of that....I can feel bond toys sharpening his cocktail stick (whatelse would a two-tonic assasin use as a weapon?) .....

Hey ale how about Simon baker as Felix?.....

But Lexi get the box set you'll love it....

Ps I laughed at the Colin farrell banter above....
The guy is a great character actor and plays ugly thugs and cool cops equally

And before I go, since none of your "sisters" said it, yet it should have been said, Farrell obviously has impeccable taste..... B-)

LOL exactly! I do think Minka would make a great Bond girl, and I'm glad you find her beautiful too, Paul. I would love to see her in a Bond movie, Charlie's Angels role will show us more of her in action so I think that may help. :D It's certain there are two fans of the remake on this thread already, Paul and I. We'll see if others tag along :D

Great idea! I hadn't thought about it. I think he would make a great Felix. He is a good actor and he can certainly play spy. Has got the right charm and good looks to be Felix. Of course, with Cavill as Bond. :D

:)) and there it goes, Felix Leiter challenging Bond AND the Bond girls :)) And thank you, I'm blushing but will pretend I am not. :D I agree he his a very good actor and :o I use quite a few Miami Vice soundtrack songs to work out, too! :o He just made a very different impression in person, and I did enjoy him in Miami Vice. But before that, I was of the same advice as Bondtoys's wife and the girls here :))

Didn't look at the link until now ;% .... oh my - she's gorgeous - and that pic is very provocative but sexy at the same time.... Great choice - and she would make a great Bond Girl - although watch out Rachel..... Daniels head may be for turning :)) (and who could blame him :)) )

so... to carry on with the Charlies Angels theme - are they re-booting the TV series then? Or the film.... a bit confused as the film has already been rebooted already.... or am I just very slow :))

Excellent Lexie! :D One more for Minka Kelly as Bond girl and Charlie's Angel replacement :D

LOL I agree Daniel's head may be turning with Minka Kelly around :)) I couldn't blame him either. Except her fiancé is Derek Jeter, one of the most famous players of the NY Yankees... I think Daniel would be in BIG trouble :))

And of COURSE this is what the watercooler is for. They are rebooting the Charlie's Angels TV series, it will be on ABC starting next fall. It promises to be one of the heaviest-promoted new series for next season, so fingers crossed! Minka Kelly plays an ex marine girl, who can certainly kick some ass when needed, so I would think that's an ideal token for her to then be a Bond girl! :D I am just so glad she's getting a big role now. I love Friday Night Lights, it's one of the best series I've seen on TV, but it really is a niche type of product... so Charlie's Angels will be the mainstream type of show that she needs to be recognized everywhere as an actress. Then she can go on to being a Bond girl... possibly with Henry (Cavill) as Bond? Ahh dreams :))
