I was just about to ask the same question in the other Spooks thread. I'll be watching, but I'm not expecting much from it. It looks a little too 'yoof TV' for my liking.

I'm a massive fan of Spooks, and I saw the advert. However, I don't think I will be watching...(although it is automatically saved on my TV), it could never replace the origional, and I agree, it does look a bit too young for me.

However if I find myself with a spare half hour, at home, with control of the remote, I might give it a try ;)

Of course the problem with this spin off is that it's set in the future and tells us that the original team were all rubbish, failed in their jobs and died! Which is a bit of a no-no for me as far as spin-offs go; that's proper brand-damaging, isn't it?

I watched the first 10 mins online and it looked terrible, frankly. The idea of young sexy spies who live in a house together and go out clubbing lots just sounds awful to me. I'll watch it though 'cos I like spies an' stuff :)

Georgia Moffett's name in the cast was enough to put me off. She's been unbearably fake in anything I've seen her in.
Weird thing is, the book Contact Zero (by Spooks creator David Wolstencroft ) focuses on a team of young trainee agents and would have translated into an excellent series. ?:)

I've turned this off. I just can't think of a reason to watch it. It's not Torchwood-bad, it's just fine, but it seems entirely pointless.
And to use the Spooks name seems like sacrilidge- that's proper intelligent hokum; this is utterly witless. An MI5 officer gives a suspect a mobile phone on which to call him and sends him off to meet his boss: the next thing we hear is a voiceover from a spook telling us the phone contained a tracker: yes, I know it's Sunday night but I do have half a brain left.

Yep it was bit Spooks meets Hollyoaks or something. Then they went a bit '24'on us in the last 30secs of Episode 2.

It's not the same without Harry Pearce at the helm.

10 minutes. That's how long I lasted! What a load of *******s. It's like the producers looked at Spooks and thought, this is too complicated. Let's set it in the future, and make it really stupid. There is no point to this show. Not a single bloody one. Awful acting. Awful writing. This may sound harsh, but I demand everybody involved in the production of this be crucified. That'll teach them. This is worse than Torchwood. It's that bad.

Well, it should be topical with that teenager sentenced for terrorism activities this week, and getting Children in Need to finance it! :o

I never trusted that Pudsey Bear. I bet he lost his eye fighting for the Taliban.

I've just been passed info about a little Spooks Code 9 game (it may already be in general circulation but thought I'd post it anyway). I haven't watched the program myself yet...
It's a game where you can upload your
own photo and take part in an interactive video to complete a mission.

    Anyway the game is here:

And they've set up one with Daniel Craig for us Bond fans!

Not until it hits the states on PBS in about 18 years(if at all). X-(

Feel free to YT it for the rest of us.
