This thread is for all you Tarantino fans out there. I'm curious to see how everyone would rank his films from best to, uh, least-best haha. My personal ranking will not have Jackie Brown simply because I still haven't seen it (and I call myself a Quentin Tarantino fan geez!). Oh and feel free to include From Dusk Till Dawn and True Romance because, lets face it, The screenplays alone basically make them Tarantino's Films.

My ranking:

1.Pulp Fiction (of course!)

2.Reservoir Dogs

3.Kill Bill (Both volumes as one film)

4.Death Proof

5.True Romance

6.From Dusk Till Dawn

Tarantino pretty much peaked IMO with his showy debut film Reservoir Dogs. I've liked bits and pieces of his films, but can't really say I've enjoyed them as a whole.

So I'll rate them on how many chunks of the film I liked.
    1.Reservoir Dogs
    2.Pulp Fiction
3.Death Proof(mainly because of a return of sorts for Kurt Russell)
    4.True Romance(Dennis Hopper's speech to C. Walken)
5.Jackie Brown(chemistry between Pam Grier and Robert Forster)
6.Natural Born Killers(Rodney Dangerfield- nothing else)
7.Kill Bill 1(the oriental chick in the schoolgirl garb)

The rest did not impress me at all. And from some of the preposterous casting and script reports I've been hearing about Inglorious *******s, he may not have very many more films left to make, if it should flop(as many of his have, so far).

I'd agree that QT hasn't delivered on his promise were it not for the fact that he had no promise. That is to say, he totally delivered with his first two films, RD and my fave, Pulp Fiction. That latter is a film that hasn't dated at all. That's why, imo, I'd have liked to see him do Casino Royale as he wanted, it has that pulpy vibe to it. Of course, CR is about the most popular film in living memory for some of us so that's hardly been borne out.

I would rate Grindhouse very highly however, as the whole experience with trailers too.

Grindhouse is only half a great movie IMO. Planet Terror didn't impress me, and showed me that Rodriguez's talent is on the wane too. The trailers were good, especially Machete. Death Proof was way too chatty, as usual for Mr. T, but the car stunts and Russell made it worth the wait.

Oh I guess it's not a great movie but a great experience for an audience with a beer. {[]

    1. Pulp Fiction: near-perfect blend of Tarantino sense and sensibility.

    2. Death Proof: simple yet effective.

    3. Kill Bill: complex yet effective.

    4. Jackie Brown: half good and half so-so.

    5. Reservoir Dogs: it's okay. Never got behind it when it came out, doesn't do much for me now.

    1. Kill Bill...Brilliant, loved them.
    2. Jackie Brown, a very close second.
    3. Pulp Fiction....only just "got it" as I saw this about 3 months ago for the second time...perhaps I just wasn't in the mood the first time round.
    4. Reservoir Dogs.

...and for a girl, I think that's pretty good! :D
