  The opening credits for the truly great Cowboy Bebop are clearly influenced by some of the 60's shows that have already been posted in this thread.

  It's the NBC Sunday Night Mystery Movies. It aired the original Columbo, McCloud & McMillan & Wife episodes of the 70s.

  Has to be "Hawaii 5-0". Don't think I've ever heard a TV theme that would work as well for a movie. Peter Gunn would be a close second.

  I know that someone has already brought up the classic THE SAINT theme music but I've always preferred this variation of the theme from the later episodes.

  This arrangement is kind of underrated because most fans are used to the more common one. Very 60s cool IMO. B-)

  I can't seem to stop humming the theme to THE BIG BANG THEORY so it warrants being on this list IMO. It's quirky but cool at the same time. B-)

  Arguably one of the best tv show themes ever at the time; I loved watching this as a kid on NBC. I was a WWII buff back then. B-)

  If you haven't seen the M*A*S*H film by Robert Altman, I highly recommend it B-) A darker and edgier tone than the TV show, but it defined the visual style and is very funny in its own right. Donald Sutherland is Hawkeye, Elliot Gould is Trapper John, Sally Kellerman is Hot Lips, and none other than Robert Duvall is Frank Burns...

  My big brother and I used to watch this show religously on the little 13-inch b&w we had to share in our bedroom ...when we weren't fighting over what to watch that is.

  the show is CONSTANTLY on TV Land, and it's quite often the background noise for me when I'm doing homework :x Grew up watching the show 'cause my dad's a big fan, and my aunt has every season on DVD :x

  The Walking Dead is incredibly effective. It has a way of transferring all the apprehension and suspense of the zombie struggle to the viewer at the start of each episode.
