Adam Simmonds also claim's to sell original Steve McQueen sunglasses Persol 0714 Tortoise frame with Blue lenses BUT these are not made by Persol, so does he just buy the frame and put his own blue lenses in ? Good idea but still misleading ?
I just spoke to the guy at theglassescenter and persol have actually started making the blue lenses for the steve mcqueen glasses, they are made by luxxotica in italy as far as he tells me.
he is selling the steve Mcqueen glasses for 147 pounds, not bad prices. I will just stick to my quantum solace glassses on order, my cash is going fast. and my wife will kill me if I buy anything else 007.
Your right, Im glad I ordered when I did. The quoter must have been filled, the demand is high at the moment for these. I know the sunglasses shop.co.uk has only 170 pairs.
Just watched the ITV2 Bond on location and in one scene you can see the Tom Ford logo on the leather ear socks.In my opinion if we were not sure before we can be now.They are the tom fords.
the frames are tom ford, and on the inside of the temple they have the limited edition stamping of the name of the frame "james bond 007" and the tom ford logo is so small you would have to actually have a pair (which I do) to see that they them. i think the way tom ford brands his items is in such a way that they do not scream his name but convey a sense that it is his collection and style, not like the watches that 007 on the face.
I have the Tom Fords also and the Oliver Peoples. what I said was you could see the logo on the ear socks not writing on the ear stems.I am talking about the small silver logos just behind the ear.
