Comics/Magazines conditions

Not too long ago I aquired some old Doctor Who comics and magazines and I'm now interested in buying some more. However I'm a little concerned about the possibility of them deteriorating over time. They're nearly all over 20 years old some nearing 30 and I was wondering if anyone could advise me on how to keep them and the magazines and comics I buy now, in the best condition possibly without spending a fortune.
Thanks in advance,
Felix
An afterthought - just wondering if anyone else has any old comics/magazines, how they aquired them, how much they paid for them and what sort of condition they're in.
Thanks in advance,

1.) Always bag your comics in mylar (also known as polypropolyene) bags.
2.) Always use a carboard backing the same size as the book when bagging your comics so that they will not bend or warp.
3.) Keep all your bagged comics stored vertically in a cool dry area away from direct sunlight.
Most comics shops sell all the supplies you'll need including stackable boxes for keeping your comics stored upright and out of the way.
Don't stack the books on one another and don't put them in a basement as the moisture and dust will make them deteriorate more quickly.
My brother and I have hundreds of comics and larger sized magazines that we've boarded, bagged and stored, some for over 20 years. They've held up really, really well and are still quite crisp.
